Why are corruptions being removed in the next patch?

The other side is just… the frustration of seeing my efforts dissolved… instantly. I get new expansions come and the gear we earned is no longer ‘valid’ when new better things come to replace it. Been here since BC and this cycle has happened plenty of times. The difference now though is we are actually losing what we earned. The gear I earned in wrath still helped me to level in cata. Same went for mop and wod… even into legion. While the gear isn’t the best after a couple weeks, or maybe even a couple days, it still didn’t just vanish.

100%. This right here is what makes me find progressing in WoW pointless. No matter how far you climb, you’ll get cut back down again.
