Population problem; Blizzard completely failed to keep pops balanced. Anything they say about it being balanced is an absurd lie they should be ashamed of.
Most layers even during prime time Horde side barely scrap together a single 40 man raid, if they can even get the players to do a single boss at all, while Alliance roll around with 2 raids.
It’s a joke totally inflicted by Blizzard with the obscene favoritism it has given Alliance in SoD. Windfury for alliance is also a total failure as there is no longer a PvE reason whatsoever to play Horde. It REALLY shows in the worst possible way that the lead dev plays Alliance.
Honestly this game is going into unsub territory for me very quickly and unless I see the same sort of absurd favoritism towards Horde next phase not coming back.

I guess I’m just curious as to what that translates to in terms of overall DPS. I was hoping someone could turn this into a value like “humans do 5% more damage than an equally geared gnome” sort of thing.

Horde has druids too, which also have the same no-totem wf lol
I think people just like the alliance. And they like paladins a lot. Horde didn’t tick up in popularity until TBC, where they got pally access. And in SoD, paladins seem like lots of fun.
I hate the alliance but playing against palidans is just annoying in general until the last phase when you global them as ele shaman but I dont have the patience for that

Idk what server youre on but both living flame and wild growth US are doing ok on horde. From what ive seen, horde have way more pve groups and premade wsg than alliance on both servers.
But Alliance also have paladins which were always more popular than shamsn on top of being the objectively better raid healers than shamans with better buffs. And now that they gave Alliance WF Blizzard made Alliance SO much better in PVE vs Horde when they were already better to begin with that it no longer made sense to many to go Horde.
Blizzard F’d this up royally. This faction imbalance is something they inflicted with the most obscene Alliance favoritism in the history of WoW and I honestly don’t see anyway SoD comes back from it. Already looking like an irretrievable failure unless they outright remove Windfury from alliance again to actually give anyone a reason to go Horde.

had an shammy on whitemane… hand of rag wasnt even that fun… ele is wild. the problem is blizz will nerf people at will now theres no way ele will be able to get all the runes or its over.

Pallies werent better raid healers than shaman in vanilla, shamans destroyed pally. They were buff bots and literally their entire kit revolved around spamming cleanse. Theres a reason its called cleansebot.
When level 40 is released, horde will have a major advantage with shamans opening up in pvp. Their kit explodes by level 40.
Both factions now have windfury, and the same buffs because hunters got kings on horde. The racials make up for almost 0% damage increase, difference is cooldown based vs passive. Im not seeing favoritism here. People just dont like playing ugly races. Orc, troll and tauren are hideous, the only decent one is undead.

LOL. Where did you even come from? Decade old Common knowledge Pallys are/were the BEST raid healers in Classic WoW flat out because they had the best buffs and never/were the last to go OOM which is pretty much what defines who is the best raid healer.

I doubt it; lead Dev plays a Paladin and it shows with Paladin being 2nd or 3rd most OP class atm. I don’t think there will even be any Horde players left at 40. Giving Alliance WF was the biggest fail of all time as it completely removed any reason to play Horde at all when Alliance were already the much better PvE faction.
SoD is already a failure pretty much unless they remove Windfury from Alliance. Otherwise the pop imbalance will only get worse overtime as people quit/faction hop. Complete failure.

Speak for yourself; I don’t find it very compelling to play at all because of how Blizzard broke the factions.
