Why all the hate on Enh

They didn’t try very hard with Enhancement in Legion though. They quite literally gave us the Doomhammer and called it a day.

Granted, it’s still one of my favorite specs in pve somehow.

why waste a m+ dps spot on enhancement when every other dps spec ranged and melee is better?

Because some people can? Guild and friend groups should be fine with an enhancement shaman. It’s only in pugs where people start to get picky and exclude classes/specs.

most other melee specs for m+ are just better then enhancement with the same ilvl gear.

also in bfa m+ there is alot of aoe trash fights which all other melee does way better then enhancement.

Why do you keep switching characters just to post the same things?

I’ve said this before in a different thread but that guy hits every enhancement related thread and does his best to bury the spec.

It’s constant trolling, but everyone just buys into the negative stigma because it’s all they ever see.

whatchu talkin’ 'bout, willis!? you know that’s a fellow guildie agreeing with him… hehe.

Unfortunately, it’s because there’s quite a bit of truth behind it.

Let’s see a post talking about all the good things about Enhancement, and folks will come away from it more depressed than the negative ones.

Take a look at Aff Lock in m+. Nothing compares to how dreadfully bad Aff is in m+. Enha is pretty bad still, though.

wow head pvp talent changes for 8.2 because of the neck.

until it’s released, there’s no telling what will actually go live. some of the changes were good… for other classes to be considered useful.

That’s not really a nerf, there is absolutely no way Blizzard would let the previous pvp trait get through. Balance and Feral got their broken traits fixed aswell.

Compared to my Havoc DH, my enhancement shaman seems just a bit lackluster. I don’t think it’s super bad, but it is noticeable.

I do wish Enhancement could drop their totems during loss-of-control effects and I wish Sundering automatically crit and scaled with crit percentage…

That’s really all I think Enhancement needs.

Tbh Ele has been a meme since Vanilla and only had a few good spots like Firelands and end of Legion. Enhance has generally been on top. Ele is good now because mostly a Azerite trait and some dmg adjustments. I believe for send Crash Lightning needs a significant buff OR increase the abilities you use inside Crash Lightning with at least 2 targets to prevent ST cheese.

Ele has almost always been the better of the two in PvP, so it’s had that going for it at least.

It’s good now because they basically reworked it late in legion to fix the problems it was having. Resource management, AoE (5 target cap on CL instead of 3, instant cast EQ that cost MS), and damage values all changed. The main reason Ele is so strong right now though is gear scaling and the Azyrite trait that increases lavaburst damage. With bad gear, Ele is awful, but with good gear, it’s top 2 for single target in sims. Getting 250% damage on crits instead of 200% is a big deal as secondary stats get higher.

'member when an azerite trait was twice as strong as the next? demo locks 'member…
