Why again is there no group finder in WotLK classic?

Can’t both be catered to one who wants it and one who doesn’t?

The fix is simple you just have to make it server restricted and not teleport to the dungeon. Maybe just too lazy?

Because having dead servers is a must for Blizzard. There can’t be authentic WOTLK experience without dead servers.

because the small survey they sent out players didnt want it but the majority is speaking up and it will cost blizzard lots of money not to have lfd.

That isn’t the WOTLK classic forums. So your link is still wrong.

Because the actual classic community that drive creating of classic in the first place was drastically opposed to anti-community things like LFD and LFR.

But over time it seems like the classic community morphed into the retail community and wants all the same QoL all over again.

HvH queues
No arena teams
Mega servers with sharding (layers)
Queable dungeons

It’s like watching a re-run of a movie.

I think the classic community is a bit different one than what started when classic wow released. A bunch of people were heavily against the paid level boost that came with BC classic, as i was. So that is the target audience for end game now for the classic hardcore crowd. They also hate leveling.

This produces the opposite effect that wow had back when it first came out up until the dungeon finder came out. Back then, the percentage of players who had max level toons was pretty low, as well as the High end raid turn out. Now, no one had low level toons, and those who do, or start a few months late, are basically screwed. And not all of these people want to deal with paying for boosting runs or paying blizzard for max levels either.

The way i see it, it seems the majority of people who want to play classic wrath at this point fall into 2 main categories. The people who hate leveling and want instant end game. And the players who do enjoy the leveling process, but are casual and do not want to spam trade for groups. I would say, at that point, why not just add the dungeon finder at that point, mainly for leveling purposes. Also with some restrictions. Make it so dungeon finder does not apply to the end game heroics 5 mans from 60-80. And also make it not applicable to the raids on normal or heroic difficulty from 60 to 80.

I honestly, would be completely fine without LFD if the paid real money level boost from blizzard did not exist. I mean, low level stuffs is going to be barrem, especially for low pop servers. Still trying to find a zull furrak 5 man group on my warrior.

Or as i have suggested on another thread, why not make 2 separate classic wrath clients. One includes the dungeon finder, the other does not include the dungeon finder. I do not feel this would be that hard. But like, i am not gonna spam trade all day for groups that do not exist. Or pay other people for runs. I used to run people back in the day for free. I also do not have the expenses in real currency to pay blizzard for a max level toon.

There has to be a way to accomodate at least the majority of players. As it stands now, i just do not feel it will work.

Go back to retail.

Did they say there would be no dungeon finder at all? Or is it coming in 3.3 like the original wotlk did?

What if i want to play both? lol.

Sometimes i want to play retail. Sometime i want to play classic. In terms of classic, wrath was probably my favorite version of the game.

I would say legion was my favorite in terms of the modern expansions so far.

And sometimes i want to play other games. Sometimes i have to go to work. So i can actually afford to play. Other times i jam with friends at a movie or something.

They said there was no LFD in the announcement.

I loved LK for the fact that the dungeon finder, and badges, gave a separate, yet equal alternate path to progression. Not having it removes any desire for WAY more people than blizz thinks.

Queue in retail. Play the game and interact with the server community in classic. Do not mix the two.

In earlier wrath patches there was a daily randomly selected heroic that did pretty much the same thing. I imagine theyll update it as phases go on.

There is no community in classic.
LFD was never anti community, this is just a lie from those who hate fun.

Well I’m okay with no dungeon finder. After all, wotlk classic is made for classic players. Retail has retail players.
They’re two different groups now with different desires.
If they put dungeon finder in, they risk alienating the classic group again.

So then, if Cataclysm classic becomes a thing, what do they do since it existed all of Cataclysm. There would go the whole no change that so many have screamed about. Infact, you could argue no LFD in Wrath classic at some point goes against that no change screaming.

Neckbeards were loud and team classic agreed.
But seeing how quickly it has changed from the looks of it, this community is its worst enemy, not LFD.

If there’s no community in classic then you should by all means go back to retail and not interject your ideas on a game you don’t like and surely won’t play.
