The true Alliance was the one under King Varian Wrynn. Varian represented the ideals of his countrymen, and of other nations of the Alliance. He was both a warrior and a diplomat because he stood up against every single aggression against the tyrant Horde but also composed himself in situations when negotiating peace.

Anduin is weak, and should have never been made king. Instead, a military council consisting of the Alliance’ss finest military leaders should have kept him as a regent or ruled while Anduin fawned for peace at the Netherlight Temple.

Anduin’s namesake is one of the greatest heroes of the Alliance, but exemplifies no qualities of the Lion of Azeroth. Shame.

He also knew when NOT to attack. Hell, he decided to stop fighting the Horde, a decision that ultimately probably saved all of us.
