Are you referring to the 1 ring? It can drop from fishing pretty much anywhere.

I dunno i might consider it. Im defintely making my main an enchanter so i can sell all the enchantments twinks love to have like crusader, fiery, and superior agility. ill wait to see how the community reacts to twinks once BGs are live. Not sure what ring you are talking about, but getting fishing up for the hat will be a priority and getting that arena master before people start swarming the arena will be a good idea as well.
No, you are correct, but it didn’t exist in Vanilla. The pond out by the gnolls, was the melee ring 20 twinks used to fish up back when I was twinking.

Oh yes, there WILL be twinks! I’d like one at 19, 29 and 39 for sure. Haven’t decided on which class for each bracket yet, but leaning heavily toward rogue at 19, warlock at 29 and druid at 39.
I’m not gonna bother with a twink, but I’m gonna make my self available to them. I will run them through dungeons for a “small” fee.
Phase 3 I will make twinks (bgs wont be added till then)

I haven’t decided what class I’m twinking but I’m definitely doing it. But it won’t be until I have my other characters setup and can do proper farming/gearing. Hunter seems popular but warlock is really appealing to me.

Did Blizzard state anything about locking XP gains? If they’re not going to have an option to lock XP then I wont be twinking.
You dont turn your exp gains on and off, that didnt happen until way later. Its part of the challenge of gearing a twink and why its important to do your research ahead of time, so you get all the gear you want before you level out of the bracket you are aiming for.
BGs initially didn’t grant any xp except when you did turn ins outside of the BG. When the locking XP function was implemented is screwed over twinking because it also locked them into a much smaller pool of players with almost no active BGs. I officially retired this character after a day where i waited 8 hours for one BG and it ended early when one side left the game 1 min in. Just plan out your xp gains ahead of time and dont do anything except BGs with your twink.
Can’t plan out your xp gains with the RNG gods in dungeons.
If there’s no xp lock then count me out.
welcome to vanilla, make a high lvl friend who will clear out dungeons and let you take whatever loot you want. just stay out of the dungeon until the boss fight to reduce xp gains. theres a lot of little nuances to vanilla twinking. theres also alternative twink gear that you dont need to do dungeons to get. but you do you. i for one dont want the xp locking it will make it so people actually have to think about what they are doing.
Given my newborn situation, twinking will likely be my end game.
Before i deck out a lowbie, I need to hit max level and EARN the gold to spend.
Hopefully by 2021 i’ll have a decked out lowbie.
