It’s all old content though. IIRC, old world dynamic flight doesn’t unlock til level 60 so it can’t be used while leveling, or anything.
i don’t care. it doesn’t factor into my opinion of the game at all. seems a silly thing to be wasting dev resources on, if you ask me.
The only thing I like about dragonriding is the speed. It’s kind of a nuisance to maintain sometimes.
BC flying unlocks at 30, and I use it all the time for leveling my alts from there to 61. It’s frankly a factor in where I choose to level and when. I don’t take my toons into BFA content before level 30, for example, because I want to be able to fly in those zones.
Uh huh…
The reason I don’t like dragon riding, is because I don’t know how to… makes sense.
The craps I give… not exactly zero, but pretty close.
I’ll try it out, zoom around the map… realize I have nothing to do and log off.
They did a good job with Dragon Riding, but I can understand how a lot of people might have preferred player housing or something like that.
I use old style flying “on occasion”. These “occasions” tend to be a bit more common for self-made mounts such as the classic engineer’s helicopter. I will continue to do so when playing in the old areas. But for most parts, I use dragon riding.
I don’t seem to have this issue.
There’s dragon mounts without cool downs?
Where can i get one?
I dunno, I feel like old flying will still be superior for mining/herbing.
Static flying has its uses, but outside of short hops in a questing area or a controlled flight to an intentionally irritating to reach objective, I’ll be very happy to have dynamic flight everywhere.
I’ve also become pretty fond of my renewed proto-pal.
What cooldowns are you talking about?
I prefer static as I can’t just point my mount in the right direction, use auto-run and go to the bathroom with dynamic.
If you’re depending on cd’s, even for max speed, then this is a learn to play issue.
But dragon riding will take you to your gathering areas. Both styles have their places. Like helicopters and fixed wing aircraft.
Um, no…
It’s a land, take-off and running out of steam when flying over things issue…
But you’re kinda proving my point anyways.
If there’s a need to ’ learn to fly/play ', it’s not flying.
New to the game?
I’m talking about the mount’s vitality recharge.
I think it’s needed. Any time you are in an old world place and have to use the old flying, it just feels terrible now that we’ve experienced this new dynamic flight.
and that’s something you obviously need to figure out how to do.
I think it’s great. We should have both flying options available to us at all times.
