Who still has Legion gold?

I went into the Expansion with about 2.7 million gold, ive only just gotten to 3 million gold. Im pretty sure ive spent well over 800k gold.

I missed most of Legion, so by the time I learned about the 1500g mission board quests, my main had just hit 110 and 7.3.5 had hit to slow down alt leveling. I never acquired the 3-5mil gold I heard most people had in Legion, so I still have most of my Legion gold because I refuse to buy anything since Iā€™m saving up for the dino mount. Iā€™ve never even had 500k in my bags at one time and make maybe 3k-5k gold a week through farming herbs/ore/fish and selling on the AH. Most of the purples I got from running old raids havenā€™t sold for me at all. How are the rest of you so rich

Yar! I still be holding on to the gold what we plundered from the Legion.
And I be taking it with me all the way to the briny deep!

I did some maths and at my rate, Iā€™ll be able to buy a brutosaur in 19.2307692308 years.

I have 66 gold on my 13 horde characters, andā€¦who knows and who cares how much on my one Alliance character.

I kept plugging away at making Hexweave bags in my garrisons until I got enough gold to buy enough tokens to pay for my Warcraft III Reforged purchase, and one more token on top of that to buy the Protoss campaign in SCII.

Since the price of those bags on my server is down from 2K+ in Legion to sometimes as low as 800G now in Beta for Azerite, and there is a serious uptick in douchey behavior in farming the wolves in Draenor Nagrand to get the fur for the cloth, it has really knocked down my desire to try and rebuild my gold stores.

Most I ever had was about 800K, but then I bought some boosts and such, and at one point gave away about 100K gold when I thought I was leaving the game for good.

Now that Iā€™ve gotten the gold to buy the good games in Blizzardā€™s arsenal, I donā€™t see myself coming back except for perhaps one or two months a month or two after Classic launches, just for the nostalgic feels for a few hours anyways, until Iā€™m reminded of the other reason Iā€™m quitting (aside from what is far and away the least exciting expansion - for ME - since the game launched) - the jackwagon infested player base.

Still hovering around 300k. Spent a bunch on Blizz credit for the boat and WC3R.

I was an idiotā€¦ got too excited and blew my load day 1 buying everything from the Brutosaur mount vendor.

Iā€™ve finally made my first BfA million to get that stupid chicken in Tirargarde Sound.

Maybe on your server, on little Galahand flasks are close to 1500 gold each. It ainā€™t fun.

Holy crap you guys took this post and made it your own didnā€™t you :hushed:

There should be an achievement for having 1 million gold. I consider this a milestone in some way. I did get the chicken. Yes, a chicken. Blizz has a sense of humor I canā€™t always agree with. Why not make it a mount, or at least a more original pet?

I spent 475k on mounts. Not only were they rare, they were also half price so I couldnā€™t resist. Iā€™m still above 800k in riches.

Legion was good to me but damn if this xpac is not one huge gold sink!

I have some gold, yes.

Expend everything you have so you buy more WOW Tokens. ā€œPay to Playā€.

This expansion is the first time ever since Vanilla where ordinary gold farming (herbing, mining, etc.) isnā€™t coming even remotely close to paying for weekly raid expenses.

A typical raiding week requires maybe 60 potions, plus repair costs, a vantus rune and several flasks. My ā€œburn rateā€ for these consumables and repairs is approximately 25,000-30,000g per week.

An emissary that gives me 2,000g is enough to buy 6 potions. It doesnā€™t remotely come close to paying for the expenses.

There seems to be no viable way to make gold this expansion. As such, Iā€™m gradually whittling down my savings from last expansion. I started this expansion with 2.6 million and am now down to 350k. At this rate I can go maybe another 11 weeks before Iā€™m dry.

Once I go completely dry, I guess Iā€™ll just have to stop using all consumables and hope my raid doesnā€™t kick me for poor performance.

Iā€™m not the only one in my guild in this situation either. Another raider in my raid is so poor she now has to beg players for repair money.

Apart from raiding Naxx40 back in Vanilla I canā€™t think of a single time ever in any of the other expansions where a couple hours of herbing or mining wasnā€™t enough to at least pay for the weekā€™s raid consumables.

Personally, I think Blizzard has consumable prices waaaaaaay too high right now. The economy feels broken.

This is why we have so much spam carries for gold in chat and group finder.

I saved my legion gold for my first wow token almost have enough for a 2nd now ftw!

Isnā€™t the 2k reward emissary fairly new? Like a response to the gold imbalance complaints, new?

Lol I spent all my gold on tokens to race change alts to become nothing but lightforged draenei, nightborne, and void elves.

Iā€™m broke af now. I do need to save up for Zandalari though, I want to race change my shaman. Itā€™s a good thing Iā€™m not raiding because consumables are expensive this time around. I should work on my professions.

For all I know, I have gold carried over from Vanilla. I know I wasnā€™t at 0 when BC launched.

I donā€™t go out of my way to make gold but Iā€™m sitting on about 750k right now. I donā€™t really spend any either. I made a bundle the first couple of weeks of this expansion fishing but stopped that once the price of the water mounts came down.
