Who should get Atiesh?

Just roll for it between warlocks and mages by random 100. It’s useless on priest or Druid.

Do a 3 way deathroll 1-10000… don’t leave it to a simple single roll. That feels bad!

You’re right Phagina!

This is kind of funny because we actually deathrolled our last Thunderfury and I could see us doing it again. It’s a way more fun way of rolling.

I was promised the first TF in my original guild and when it came time they changed their minds and made us roll… 2 months of farming for all the mats and I rolled a 17… It SUCKED

IMO Warlock or mage…

Pure benefit it’s best to a warlock, but the value is close enough that you should give it to the player of those two classes that

  1. contributes the most to the guild

  2. Is still going to play that class in TBC

For example, I removed myself from consideration on Atiesh, despite being the class lead for locks, because I know I’ll be rerolling paladin in TBC.

Should also point out that whoever gets it, is going to be mildly gimping their own damage in tbc, for the group buff in early raid tiers… So that’s something worth making sure potential recipients understand.

This. You give it to the person who’s solid and has been around the longest/ most consistent/ is going to be playing in TBC.

the stones will be activated for summoning by the time we all need to get there though.
its gonna be interesting to see how this one gets prio’d out. i still stay give it to the druids, but im biased about that.

oh if only

Ah I forgot about the summoning stones. Still, a portal has to be handy right? Get three people to Kara to summon the rest there.

I personally don’t see any guild getting more than one before raiding numbers take a sharp dip and guilds start imploding, because who wants to do Naxx after it’s on farm and there’s no more raids afterwards. So the answer is simple, the GM’s girlfriend gets it.

That should really be the #1 consideration above the class that gets it.

Wouldn’t you give it to whoever is staying vanilla? It never gets replaced for them whereas it does get replaced in TBC.

Does anyone recall if the auras stack?

Them not rerolling in vanilla is kind of a given I’d say… and probably not that big a concern considering how close to the end of it we are.

You don’t want them rerolling in tbc either because you want the ports to Kara and then to provide the group buff for the first raid tier or two.

The problem with Atiesh is the same problem as Thori’dal from Sunwell… By the time you get it you no longer need it. As such in most guilds it won’t be looted based on minmax qualities but rather as a reward for the effort the player has put into the guild. That’s how my guild’s handling it anyway, and I’m sure most top end guilds will do the same.

I could careless about this weapon and let me share my points

  1. You’ll be spammed / asked questions once people see you in Orgrimmar and i rather be left alone
  2. It will be replaced in TBC once you hit heroic dungeons from grinding rep
  3. Its only good for the portal to Karazhan that’s about it
  4. I rather have Wraith Blade / Sapphiron Eye because i do use Spellstones for PvP

The only legendary staff i care for is Dragonwrath, Tarecgosa’s Rest and thats way beyond our future

Anyone who’s planning on being on the raid team in TBC. The kara port is all that matters.

It should be I. My name is Atiesh spelled backwards.

They’re not planning on ending Classic vanilla from what we know. If someone is planning on staying, it’s BiS as long as vanilla servers exist vs being replaced in a few months.

This makes no sense. Yes crit gets changed, but the amount of spellpower in TBC doubles anyways. Both buffs for mages/locks become about half as good.

The real answer is to give it to your most reliable & loyal guild caster regardless of class.

grats bb!!
