Who is your favorite fictional character of all time

WoW as a palate cleanser after playing a few hours of Signalis, Silent Hill 2 or even Legacy of Kain since we’ve been talking about that in here is very valid.

Tunic is old school to the point I was often left clueless as to what to do. And the combat is great, but yeah, I’m with ya. It took me about 5 attempts and starting over a bunch to really understand and get into it.

Welll…

A lot of the art in the remaster’s additional material sure looks like art for a full blown remake of Blood Omen.

I’m hoping but not holding my breath.

I’m hoping Soul Reaver remasters and the Blood Omen port sell enough they realize a Blood Omen remaster/remake is worth it. Or even a sequel. Would love to see a new game on new gen.

Seeing the Blood Omen port in the Playstation store was like Christmas came early.

I started playing Elden Ring a little while after Erdtree came out, never played a Souls or Soulslike before that, and it frustrated the heck out of me, while aslo entertaining me immensely lol. When I saw the new expansion and new features it was the perfect time to get back into WoW as somethig easier but also with its own challenges.

apparently it surpassed the company’s expectations with 1.5 mil sales so def in the right direction

Yes same.

Blood Omen would be great for the remake treatment given how retro its presentation is. And the whole franchise needs another installment because the story was never actually finished.

I just want Amy Hennig at the helm again. LoK is such an easy franchise to mess up. People seem to want to lean DARK AND EDGY ala Dead Sun. Legacy of Kain isn’t so much Dark and Edgy ™ as it is a brooding Shakespearean tragedy.

Absolutely blew my mind as a teenager playing an anti-hero turned villain. Shakespearean tragedy is a spot on description.

definitely with the suicide at the end of the second game, such a Shakespeare tragedy.

dead sun looks weird, it looks like a super hero game

ok yeah I’m watching the gameplay footage with a bit of the plot included i don’t like it

Play it now! At 7 or 8 it probably would have gone over your head anyway.

…Which isn’t a dig. Blood Omen/Soul Reaver is just…mad complicated man. Tons of moving parts in THAT narrative.

Leroy! Who’s da masta?

I was 16 when it released. If I had been 7 or 8, I likely would’ve had to ask my parents to buy it and been told no. Even at 12 the struggle to convince them to get me Mortal Kombat for Christmas was real (it was all over the news as being ultraviolent and Christians wanted it banned).
