Who inherits the throne of stormwind?

Ya should know Warcraft had been changed since around the Mist in fact, and Kalecgos history was long ago BEFORE Warlords of Draenor. If you like Wrathion being gay, fine, give him a dragon bf, it doesn’t have to be with Anduin and they are never be a good couple by the standard of writing

Whoever pulls out the sword in Silithus will be crowned king

And then there’s Lucan Foxblood.
The head Chartographer of Stormwind.

He can enter the emerald dream at will, has bright green eyes, and is the product of an affair between Eranikus and a nameless human woman, when Eranikus took human form and had an affair behind Ysera’s back.

This would have been fleshed out more but Richard Knaak stopped writing WoW novels.

I was under the impression, should Anduin never return, and no family member with ties come out the woodwork, Turalyon and his children would remain on the throne until the Wyrnn line is rebuilt.

Then you should know Bliizard had forgotten who they are.
And it’s still my point, Kalecgos love history and gay couples can not prove that ship is a good one, there should be a good story around those characters, their own character development, not about other character’s history.
Besides just like those shippers said, and now that you mentioned Kalecgos, being good friends must be lovers having chemistry, Kalecgos and Wrathion can also be a thing. Wrathion being insulted, sad and alone, Kalecgos coming to comfort him, they drink together and Wrathion asked Kalecgos to be his close friend, it can also be a romantic sex signal filled with love and chemistry, why said they have chemistry? Read the lore bro (Not serious just a joke about the shippers if you still insist Wranduin can be a thing )

“I could actually see this happening. Strange as that may sound.”

If Anduin died Turalyon would remain Regent I imagine.

Depending on how blizzard decides to write it. Blizzard can choose to write it as they had with Lor’themar, the last royal decree was that this guy is put in charge of the nation, and that is how the people have chosen to keep it - although it is entirely possible for someone to claim the throne. This implication we see in the story ‘Lor’themar: In the shadow of the sun’. Provided of course, that there is enough support for the person who claims the throne - you can not lead a people who are majorily against you for long.

Turalyon would either remain in power as the regent, most likely supported by the people, but he would have to deal with a bunch of pesky nobles all the time (Not that this is a storyline we would see, because that is political intrigue). Or he would declare himself King.

Someone declaring himself King and while having enough support is how a kingdom started, afterall.

I do but I let the npcs delegate in my absence

This can happen instead of being with Anduin, not everyone marry their good friends who they first met. Anduin should disappear avoiding bad writing and Turaylon take the throne becoming a new king!

Or time to set up a council and end the bloodline of Wrynn

That was Katrana Prestor, the thoroughly evil black dragon Onyxia in disguise. She despises humans in reality, and it’s highly unlikely she would bear a child for Varian…if it were even possible. Yes, I know there are half-elves, half-orcs, and even half-draenei out there…but as far as anyone knows, there has never been a half-dragon…except in the head-canon of some role-players.

As for abdicating the throne, we have already seen that Velen had a vision of the future, in which Anduin is still King, and leading a coalition of The Light into a battle. He’s grey-haired by that point, so it’s possible he re-assumes the position later.

Stormwind will reform into democracy with publicly elected heads of state.

So… you’re saying I shouldn’t slice Anduin’s throat then? I mean sure I’d upset Baine if I did so but at this point Baine’s a traitor anyways so I don’t care what he has to say. Besides I see things going one of two ways… Blizz gives the Horde the finger again and makes us the bad guys for whatever reason again or they have Turalyon lose his mind to the light and we finally get an alliance leader starting a war that hopefully we horde win in the canon because I’m sick of the alliance instantly getting all the victory credit for winning wars they need us horde to help them end. If they make alliance start the next war then for whatever reason grant them the victory in the canon too that’s going to be such obvious proof of their bias that the folk that say they favor the Horde would look like fools not to notice. I mean as far as the lore goes they favor alliance as hey look who’s won all the wars so far it’d seem…alliance got all the wins in the canon even the win for stopping garrosh that we of the horde had to help them do. Blizz at this point loves to murder Horde leaders lately but the alliance hasn’t lost a faction leader in what years now if at all?
