Who has trouble with the last boss of DoS?

As a dps, I get got more in ToP from other players dropping bad on me than in DoS. YMMV.

That’s not a bug. Your bubble will drop everything hurting you, which includes his balls if they are on you right where you are when you bubble.

Mordretha is just really tough. Killing adds while constantly dodging 47 different things, while being constantly forced to run away from the vortex. That fight is no joke. Absolute chaos, even if everyone plays it well, just so many mechanics going on simultaneously. Probably the hardest dungeon boss imo.

No, you misunderstand. There are balls that spawn if you’re not on the platform in front of him outside of the totems phase. If you bubble while not in the totem phase they start spawning.

You know I kinda split my cooldowns between team fight and images. I’ll save them all for the images in the future though.

according to the Wowhead tooltip, soulcrusher is supposed to apply a DoT equal to the physical damage taken over 9 second.

in reality, soulcrusher apply a DoT whose every tic ( every second) does that amount of damage… meaning it does 900% more damage than expected… and soulcrusher happens 4 time per phase.

on a tyrannical 15 soulcrusher alone ( he still melee during it) does waaaaay more than 100% of a tank health; it’s not a matter of poping a CD for it, you need multiple CD… or hope to dodge it… which mean you’ll run out of juice really quick.

And the best part about it is that ability get very little to no attention : all the DPS just focus on blowing up their add, the healer is exhausted from healing Broker and nobody in general cares about tank issues.

stagger cannot kill.

he died to soulcrusher, a ridiculously overpowered ability that does over 100% (over 9 second) of a tank health on tyrannical 13-14, happens 4 to 5 time per phase, and get very little to no attention because everybody think killing the add is the hard part.

Soulcrusher.

on tyrannical 15 the thing does 12k per second, for 9 second.

happens up to 4 time per phase.

killing the add is the easy part of mueh’zala… soulcrusher just don’t get any attention cause it’s a tank-only mechanic and nobody care about tank’s stuff

Huh, that makes sense. Yeah he was getting absolutely annihilated by that boss like nothing I’d seen before, and it’s very hard to keep up on healing him when I’m frantically trying to run around dodging stuff, not to mention dps being hit by the purple. Like I said, I thought that boss was easy, but that experience definitely changed my mind.

I’ve had trouble because of people ignoring directions and stealing my portal :frowning: it was a druid too… they can easily run somewhere else while all my classes are so immobile and i just die.

so much easier lol

Crushed Soul deals the damage of an UNmitigated Soulcrusher? That seems like something that needs a fix.

If you actually took 12k per tick that would mean the the initial hit was 108k?

the tooltip says soulcrusher apply a 9-second magical dot equal to the physical damage taken.

However, in reality, every tic of the dot is equal to the physical damage taken ; meaning that yes, it does 900% more damage than expected… and the only way to survive that is to eithe pop multiple CD at the same time or be lucky enough to dodge the initial hit ( not skill-dodge… just your character chance to dodge attack).

which bring me back to the point : nobody give a crap about soulcrusher cause it’s a tank-only mechanic, yet it’s probably the single most broken ability in SL dungeons right now.

Oh well right there that was your problem, damage you do to him before all 4 images die is meaningless, so save all your CDs for the images

They nerfed that fight like weeks ago.

Why does every group pop hero at the start then

That’s one problem, but until people can start correctly dodging Master of Death, dropping the balls to the side and killing the add plus clicking the totem, it makes little to no difference what happens to the tank. And it’s also part of the reason the healer and tank go to the same add, to ensure both the tank stays alive and there is enough DPS to kill the add.

I finished a fight once with just the healer and tank alive because the other three couldn’t dodge or drop the balls in the right spot and kept kissing the floor so I just pushed through for a long fight until we eventually killed it.

Sometimes you just need to take that one lucky time when the four adds are dead and hope you can stay alive long enough to win.

Why would you do this to your groups ?

He seemed kinda mean on grievous tbh :pensive:

Alright I’ll give you that, grievous is a little tricky on this fight when you split.
