Which Rep Grind Is/Was Your Least Favorite

Currently, I am feeling a lot of animosity toward the Tortollian Seekers, I think their voices in general are super annoying, also really not into a faction that has me help crabs kill their own young offsrping, running laps to create shapes the list goes on, but I’m sure there were reps back in the day that were worse, I just can’t remember them ATM.

What’s yours?

I hated the August Celestials, especially at launch. Their daily quest hub changes every day unlike the others in MoP and before it was changed in a patch you had to get revered with another faction to even start the grind. It was the same with Shado-pan but at least their hub was static and you got some rep from regular quests with them.

Vanilla Frostsaber rep. I still have flashbacks and it makes me mad to see all of the frostsabers running around after they turned that rep into pure ez mode in cata.

I laugh at anyone and everyone who says that allied races are “timegated by rep grinds”. Listen here children. You don’t know what a rep grind is.

order of embers.

I’m the one that helped remake it, and am its leader, who am I earning rep with? myself?

Shhh, don’t say the T-word.

I still have flashbacks, and to this day I can’t even look at a beaded necklace.

Netherwing was pretty rough, especially if you did it when TBC was current. Totally worth it once I took off in my Onyx NW Drake, though.

The worst? Probably Argent Dawn. Well, Shendralar was probably worse than that, albeit mostly pointless unless you were insane.

ogrila > netherwing > shatar skyguard !

Hydraxian Waterlords or collecting those stupid dreadfang venom sacs.

I did that on my … um. some toon back in the day lol. What a nightmare.

for me, it’s shaohao.

the only way to get reputation is killing yaungol and their little buddies, and the mobs that give the most rep are up in the sanctuary, which is a giant pain to get to.
and because i didn’t start playing until the end of mists and didn’t ACTUALLY get to pandaria until after warlords launched, i missed the boat on getting the dumb cloak that lets you walk around up there and fight ordon. which means if i get ever so slightly too close to the building i get warped back to the court and have to get back up there all over again.

not to mention theres always at least ten other people wandering around killing yaungol so most of the time i’m just waiting for the things to respawn

Hey, self loathing is a real problem.

Kurenai is the worst Outland rep. The ogres are all spread out. The beads have a meh drop rate.

I am in the same wagon, I really hate the tortollan grind because the lack of variety in WQ.

Bonus mention: Emperor shahao farm in MoP was really tedious.

Argussian reach, I really wanted the void elves and the map was pretty but damn there were lots of spots where I could get stuck and be swamped by mobs for trying to reach a WQ

i bring this one up whenever people complain about rep… yeah you get 10 or 15 rep per kill and can turn in beads… but only till revered, and then ONLY bead turn ins give rep. and the drop was not all that high either…

You could do the feathers as well.

i did forget about the feathers, i just grinded on beads as they gave more rep… iirc.

AB and WSG post turn ins for them and pre rep buffs

So like from BC to I think the end of MoP.

I have ome character that is half way through revered with AB and one thats almost revered with them.

Im never gonna get that tabard or the Battlemaster title. Ive been exalted with AV and WSG since classic.
