Which Legion Artifact had your favorite quest?

Back during Legion i didn’t get to play much because I was busy in college, but one thing I DID do was make sure I did all the different Artifact acquisition quests. They are still one of my favorite things Blizzard has done, with so much of Azeroth’s history, and so much class flavor packed into them. (My only gripe is I wish they had been a little longer or more complicated)

But my question to you all is this: Which of the Artifact questlines did you enjoy the most and why?

I really loved everything about the Druid class hall in Legion, and the Claws of Ursoc are visually one of my favorite items and the Bear forms you got in Legion were SO cool. Getting to go into the Emerald Dream so much and even have a little tease with Xavius for his part in the xpac, and an epic final fight.

  1. Ashbringer for sure. Tirions death moved me.
  2. Scepter of Sargeras feels like the only time we dealt the enemy real damage before Suramar.

  1. Ashbringer. Cool confrontation with Balnazzar and the tragedy of Tirion’s death was moving. It’s also everything a Paladin could want and the blade that beat Frostmourne. Speaking of which…
  2. Blades of the Fallen Prince. It’s technically not Frostmourne (anymore), but it’s the next best thing (without the drawbacks).
  3. G’hanir. Didn’t expect to like this as much as I did, but I loved retrieving and cleansing this staff for its healing and I think it had the largest ties to the history of Druidism among the Druid Artifacts.
  4. Warswords of the Valajar. It truly captured the warrior fantasy (and I love the dragon skull hidden apperance and the quest to get it).

I couldn’t pick one for five, since it’s a tie between Aluneth and Xal’atath. Xal’atath has exceeded my expecations and I think Blizzard really dropped the ball by not doing anything else with Aluneth.

Honorable mentions Fist of Ra’Den, Maw of the Damned and Doomhammer.

The Scepter of Sargeras was definitely my favorite. Traveling and hunting down the last remnants of the Shadow Council while retrieving artifacts that Gul’dan wants, all under the guise of helping the Legion.

And then facing down Gul’dan himself. Stealing the Scepter from right underneath his nose was oh so satisfying. The risk the warlock takes to prevent portals from Legion-held worlds from being opened on the Broken Shore is huge. It really felt like the warlock was saving Azeroth at that point.

You’re welcome, Rommath!

Honestly all the warlock weapons were cool, the Skull was neat if, the weakest was probably uthalesh, But i have to echo that the Scepter of sargeras was the best, It had the best acquisition storyline.

Aluneth was my favorite. I love the storyline and the fact he talked to you all the time. He was this powerful mysterious entity that Medivh’s mom subdued and he was sassy. lol

Also the hidden aluneth appearance was awesome. The sheep head turning into a real sheep head every time you poly’d something. Superb!

I didn’t really like any of the specific quests, but I did like finding shades of the Lich King throughout Legion whence wielding the Blades of the Fallen Prince.
