Well to answer this question why don’t you play the opposite one like I did. Or if you like being the bad guys, play them.
BOOM
Problem solved, but seriously all this arguing over which side is in the right is pointless. I have been playing since BC and have always mained Alliance while knowing the full lore. You will NEVER convince me to do other wise and I do not expect to do the same so lets all have fun and play the game.
dumb question
Alliance always. Horde is too honorable and humble.
Grey…everything is grey.
Might help if you read more then the title.
I play both sides. The horde is definitely in the wrong. The horde’s genocide of the night elves and dropping plague everywhere is definitely worse than the alliance’s constant striving for peace, except for that one time Genn picked a fight in stormheim. Where, might I remind you, Sylvanas then proceeded to try and enslave a titan watcher. The horde hasn’t had a chance at the moral high ground since Thrall was warchief. They could have gotten back to it under Vol’jin, but that was not meant to be.
Pandas.
They are the worst.
Playing both sides at once.
Conniving fuzzy bastards.
There is no good guy bad guy in World of Warcraft. There is only war. /moo
There used to be no bad guy. Someone decided they liked Sylvanas too much and now the Horde are evil. And I am stuck with the kind of players and NPCs I hate.
So its play Alliance or quit.
Jaina is garrosh 2.0 so obviously sylvanas and the horde are the good guys
Blizzard’s official stance is there is no absolute “good” and “bad” faction. Both are morally gray, with both good and bad qualities. Both sides have done very good and very bad things throughout the history of WoW, and prior, if you want to count the pre-faction lore (and you should, since a big chunk of the major NPCs existed back and created / shaped the factions, even to present day).
If you don’t want to spend forever reading the entire history/lore of the Warcraft universe to get a feel for where each side stands morally, it is more or less summed up on the Pandarian faction choice prompt.

Evil is subjective and normally defined by the winner of the war.
So both sides seem evil to the other.
We only see it as good or evil when we run it through our societal filters. The use of “enhanced interrogation” (torture) is a good example of this.
Not that I care one way or another, but what is to happen to the horde if the alliance wins? Are they just going to let the horde be? Are they all to become slaves? Are they going to be forced onto a different planet? Are they all going to die? 3/4 of the answers equate into WW2 Germany, and the other seems highly unlikely.
Tbh none of the both factions are evil
I see one faction trying to be high and mighty with moral high ground but still murdering neutral leaders, and one just trying to survive but with brutal tactics and murdering anything threatening them.
We’ll know who are the bad guys when we get a victor to the war and they get to write history. Until then both factions are grey.
The Horde is evil.
And moral relativism doesn’t excuse anything. It’s just how evil people try to justify their terrible world views.
No, please! This is supposed to be a happy occasion! Let’s not bicker and argue over who killed who.
I like your guild name.
