Which classes do you think will shine at level 50?

Balance power creep from 40-50 is near negligible

No massive talent gain. No massive ability gained.

Every class except Hunter at this point.

Technically there’s nothing left for spriest to get outside buffing the spells they already have

My assumption is warlock will reign supreme again (from A tier now to S teir)
They don’t have their entire toolkit yet
They are missing two of the biggest spells in the game RN and they can get both of them next phase

Grass is greener take. It doesn’t proc near enough for me, or at the very least it rarely procs when I need it to.

And it’s just a crap expensive (5 point investment) talent. Obviously I still take it for PvP as it’s helpful when it’s helpful, but CC that can be cast on demand is far superior to procs that likely won’t come when you really need it.

The procs come when you need them all the time. The proc chance on blackout is so crazy I quite often have it proc 3 times in a row and fully stun lock them to death

Wrong, right now priest shadow word pain is level 34. At 50 you have level 50 shadow word pain. It’s double the damage. Also you get a rune that makes your dots crit. They get a massive power creep from 40-50

Mut rogue

We get +12% crit damage to mut and +30% crit for Mut with the 10 extra points.

Not sure who gets more value out of those 10 extra talents like rogues

I could be wrong I’m hella stupid.

Brother, I was talking balance druid.

It’s really not. Roll a spriest and get back to me.

Everyone is going to get new runes and more abilities/talents. Stop acting like all other classes will be stuck at 40 except spriest.

I just hope they realize a way to make all classes at the very minimum, not ignored by the raid leaders. I have a lvl 40 430gs rogue that cleared bfd 15 times at lvl 25, that can’t get into a gnomer raid because the only two melee class raids want now are the tank and OT.

I am also tired of the answers to this problem being:

  1. Start you own raid
    A. This makes no sense because who is going to join a raid with a leader who has never done the raid. No one.
  2. Go tank spec.
    B. Nope. I shouldn’t have to respec to a role I don’t want to play and don’t want gear for, in order to get into a raid.
  3. Reroll a different class.
    C. I did, but I’m not lvl 40 yet.
  4. Join a guild that raids at times you can raid.
    D. I did, and because almost all guilds are now full of sweat lords parsing till the cows come home, they don’t want melee either.

Rogue has historically been one of the best single target dps classes in the game. Which they should be. They bring no buffs, and very little in utility, can u even consider a kick or stuns a utility? If not, they bring raw damage, except now, they don’t.

Yes they are still good at PVP, but I don’t PVP anymore. I don’t have the reflexes it takes to be good anymore.

I just want to see all the content, and in phase 2 I don’t think I will. At least until phase 3 starts and no one cares anymore.

Warrior will be garbage for about 3 resets and then be back on top, Hunters will spend half the phase being absurdly far ahead yet they’ll scream and whine about every single love tap they get, Mages will continue to skate by untouched in a strong position

Shaman got its one phase in the limelight so they’ll be completely irrelevant for the remainder of the season. I think the dark horse for phase 3 will be uhhhhh….druids. Bears will get something crazy in their runes that will make them immortal in PvE and PvP. That’s my prediction

With 10 points to put into Holy, Ret Paladins might be good depending on what runes they give us.

Though, looking at the datamined helm and bracer runes from before Phase 2 that will probably form the foundation of what we get in Phase 3, I’m not really holding my breath…

Warlocks once they get felguard

Pvp wise spriest will be much stronger. we can access some side talents that make us much harder to kill like martyrdom/stronger shield., Stun resist and or healing focus. And as others said some nicer spell levels. undead DP will also start to chunk since atm it kinda was meh but shadow guard still cranks. If locks get UA i put them at top pvp spec. But if not spriest mage or lock. most likely sp. But also rogue might sneak in there who knows.

Ret will continue to explode people in pvp but be mid in pve is my best guess. The classic ret tree is just bad overall - the tbc and wrath reworked ret tree really started to fix the underlying problems.

Shaman got runes that basically put tbc and wrath talents into the game, but ret got only part of its later xpac toolkit. Hence the big gap between them.

Who ever gets their runes tuned start of phase.

Resto Sham feels like TBC version still. We need Riptide, Tidal Waves, and Earthliving Weapon at a minimum before we can hope to feel remotely like a wotlk rsham.

My Priest feels like she teleported from Cata, though

The only new ability warrior gets on the way to 60 is Recklessness @ 50 which has a 30 minute cooldown…so it is pretty meaningless in the grand scope of things (also shares a cooldown with our other 30 min abilities - Retaliation and Shield Wall).

We get some new ranks for Slam, Execute, Overpower, and Heroic Strike…Mortal Strike & Whirlwind are already at max rank so they will actually fall behind Slam due to normalization.

Warrior basically going to play the same at 60 as it does at 25 with runes…

Rogues will have +30% crit to mutilate…so that’s going to be BONKERS in pvp. They can also get 5% hit from talents and stay mut build…which will be just as BONKERS in PVE.

what are u talking about spriest is my main, blackout procs NONSTOP lol. literally get 3 in a row all the time. and i never said other classes wouldnt get new runes and abilities, but spriests getting ability for dots to crit, ontop of a level 50 shadow word pain spell, is huge, theyre gonna be pumping, you sound like your just bad at the most op class in the game right now
