Fire Mage is very gear dependent: If you don’t have the Crit, you don’t have anything and you should use another spec.

With Corruptions and other sources available, Fire Mage is VERY scary once you have what you need. Frost is basically Frostbolt until you can use the Flurry+GS combo.

Crit isn’t that valuable on Fire though, almost all your damage happens during combust windows where you have 100% crit anyways. Mastery is the stat you want to stack. It is very gear dependent though and feels awful without Wrists/Lucid/3x Blaster Master/Font.
