If the number of heads is optional, how would emotes work? Maybe have single head emotes normally, but 2 headed ogres have the second head comment on what the first head says.
Hozen
Ankoan
Ethereals
Fallen Arakoa
Ogres
Mogu
Naaru
That would be awesome!
Drakonids just so insecure people stop complaining about Dracthyrs.
Otherwise Saberons and Arrakoas.
I’ll just post my most wanted playable races below, which I would happily take as either Core or Allied races:
Arakkoa (Alliance) ![]()
![]()
Furbolg (Alliance) ![]()
![]()
Ogres (Horde) ![]()
![]()
Saberon (Horde) ![]()
![]()
San’layn (Horde) ![]()
![]()
Saurok (Horde) ![]()
![]()
As I said before, these races becoming playable for their respective factions would be perfect and completely satisfy me. Any other races becoming playable would be icing on the cake.

Half Nightborne- Half Blood elf race. Tall, but with the body types of blood elves so the men aren’t way too skinny. Purple/blue/light skins with arcane effects, high elf tattoos available. Short/medium/long ear options. Nice face options for the men for once lol.
With Lor’themar and Thallysra’s marriage, it’s possible!
Mok’nathal for Horde
Saberon for Alliance
Mogu as a neutral allied race.
Umm… We kind of have San’layn already? The Darkfallen skintones and eye colors are the exact same that the San’layn use.
The skins are general undead elves as opposed to any specifically being vampiric ones. It’s like saying we have vampires because we have playable Forsaken. Not quite the same thing.
Not to mention that there weren’t any San’layn present with the new Undercity Council, so they aren’t really represented specifically with them or shown being part of the Horde. As well as said skins not being usable by Death Knights and having red eyes only attached to Darkfallen skin types, which is very silly IMO.
Honestly, I haven’t been happy at all with how customization races have been treated. They feel more like parent races cosplaying and LARPing as them, more or less just being slapped on them without much care, as opposed to customization races having their own identity and culture flourish with storyline presence. Thus why I still advocate for some races to be their own playable race slot.
With San’layn, you have vampiric features and racials that could be utilized as a full race, along with their backstory making for some great storyline potential. Things like that just wouldn’t get implemented if they were just a customization race. At best, they might just appear on a PowerPoint slide announcement as a customization race with little fanfare, anything storyline-related, or much care in their implementation, much like how Wildhammer Dwarves got treated.
It’s honestly how I feel and wish that customization races got better treatment. Thus why I would much prefer San’layn as their own race instead of just slapped onto Blood Elves with little to no actual presence in-game. ![]()

- Centaur
- Saberon
- Ogre
I would love to see two headed ogres, but played by two people XD not unlike Cho’Gall from HOTS.
Gnolls
Eredar
Saberon would be Horde as Saberon escaped AU Draenor alongside the Mag’har Orcs in their recruitment quest.
i love those grinds i like having to work for new stuff, thats old wow style and also ogre, murloc and saberons
My top 3 are:
Forest Trolls - They’re my favourite race in the whole franchise
Tolvir - I just think they’re neat
Jinyu - I also just really like the Jinyu, they look cool n I like their vibe.
Ogres. Absolutely. And give alliance…hmmm…I dont know…cat people or something.
Vrykul (Broken Isles Vrykul are friendly, and vrykul warriors would feel right at home in the Skyhold order hall)
Furbolgs (the Dragonflight furbolg model is gorgeous)
Naga (or any aquatic race, but I think naga are the most interesting)
Tol’vir (for their whole Egyptian vibe)
Really liking alot of these ideas!
+1 for vrykul. tall and thin races like nelfs look awesome
A ogre warlock has been my dream for so long…
