Literally anything made after like the mid 1980s is all garbage, every single bit of it. Before that point it’s brilliant and I love it.
For me the cut off point is George Michael’s Last Christmas, after that point Christmas music doesn’t exist anymore, they’re just holiday themed noises by people that should have known better.

When I think of Christmas music I’m thinking something that’s supposed to put you in a good mood/make you cheer-y, but “grandma got run over by a reindeer” is just so cheese-y it just doesn’t “hit” like a true Christmas song
