Where is the option to STOP pre-releases downloading?

Not sure if this is the right place but it’s WoW that’s updating so what the heck…

I’ve cancelled my sub to WoW and the pre-release for the next patch is already downloading to my PC. I’ve got Automatic updates set to “Never automatically apply updates”. So why isn’t the pre-release respecting that choice? If it’s a different setting then where the heck is it? I can’t find anything that controls it in battle.net.

I also just checked “Game specific settings” and they’re ALL set to NEVER. So not impressed with this wasting of my bandwidth…

Can I have your problem? My background downloader is stuck on PAUSED. All my settings are set to download in advance and download while playing. Bandwitdth is set to unlimited. What is the deal?

You’re going to download the update eventually anyways…

Not seeing anything in 9.1 that makes me want to start playing again. Maybe next xpac.
