Oh no!
Anyway…
Oh no!
Anyway…
Won’t be the only one, most people playing this game have no intention of raiding.
It’d be like locking a sought after rune behind pvping
This is one of the worst decisions I’ve seen Blizzard make. And SoD was going so well. Locking basic class abilities behind raiding? I’m a pvp player. Now I won’t even be able to compete in pvp without raiding to get my class skills. Imagine locking basic class skills behind ranking. All the pve players might understand what the problem is then.
It is locked behind PVP also on any PVP server. The last stage with the summoning ritual is super griefable and one person can stop anyone from doing it for as long as they want. Gankers can also stop people from getting the bough and orb quite easily. People are still leveling and setting up their characters now, but pretty soon there’s going to be people camping the portal location 24/7.
The universe is weeping.

Yup you could say they got… staffed!
It’s more like UBRS than a raid imo.
it’s basically just a 10 man dungeon. ![]()
And? That would require pugging, I have a 5 man group
oh noes people you don’t know in an mmo.
its poor planning and they’ll lose people over it
they know most people don’t raid
Good. it’s clear people that are QQing about a 10 man “raid” aren’t the target audience.
didn’t the lead dev in interviews say they wanted SOD to be more world pvp focused? image locking stuff for cringe raid log andy’s
its the only one even in the raid, if that was their plan every class would have one in the raid
“DISCOVERY” lmao bro
Metamorph literally changes fundamental abilities and turns you into a demon of course it was always going to be a level 25 rune that comes from a raid. Yall are lucky it isn’t rep locked to be honest.
Locking a rune required to tank by having to ask a tank to tank for you to get it to become a tank isn’t good game design no matter anyway you try to spin it.
Then make all classes with a new tanking rune locked behind end game quests and the raid. Literally Shamans can get the tanking rune at lvl 10 and start tanking all the dungeons for level cap. Why are Warlocks the only ones who get stiffed.
I love the idea and spirit of discovery, however I feel that something that is role-defining should not have been made something that is so difficult to find. It has clearly and unnecessarily upset a section of the playerbase and dampened excitement.
In the majority of cases I don’t think this is entitlement or whingeing or people need to “git gud” or any other of the lazy, childish responses. Most people will now have lost that sense of excitement of the actual discovery when they do get this rune. I feel that is a pretty major loss for this game mode.
Sure, have things that are difficult to find. I love the idea of there being something in the game that isn’t found for weeks or months, but not a role-defining rune.
For example: I’d love there to be a book in a random library in the world somewhere, to which there are ZERO clues (I’d love it if it there were 20 different spawn locations that randomised between players) that starts a long quest chain sending you to many different locations to finally reward you with a cool, new unique item. I had thought there might be a lot of this kind of thing in Season of Discovery, not just that the new stuff would be specific to runes.
Yea, seemed like what it was supposed to be, but its turned into something else, I hope they change direction going forward and add actual discovery to all of it, not things like “random old tedious quest chain” and “pay bunch of gold”
Nothing about it is difficult. People just weren’t aware of how to obtain it. Now people know.
And what needs to be done? Get to level 25 and participate in the new content that Blizzard made.
How is participating in new content tailor made for SoD such a deal breaker for people? Why are these people even playing the game?
