Then make the shaman tanking rune just as hard to get? Dont arbitrarily make one significantly harder to get than the others.

Rogue tanks get shafted honestly, 1 behind a rep grind and gold, one behind engineering/gold and gold
Watching jaded MMO players squirm over not having things datamined or guided to death is oddly satisfying.
We got warriors complaining about being the worst class in the game when they’re significantly better at almost everything by a country mile at endgame. Hybrid classes actually feel good to play now. Previous specs that were useless are now useful. And a bunch more goodness.
SoD is delivering on all fronts so far.

Theres a huge difference between the “discovering” of other runes that consist of looting a chest on a random building, or looting a random drop from a specific mob, to the level of coordination that has been happening trying to find the meta rune thats equivalent to what the secret finding discord has to do for any of the secret mounts lol
The rep grind would be fine if it wasn’t a very poorly designed grind. The thing that’s annoying about this lock rune is yes I’m fine discovering it, but it’s the only way for me to play the game the way I wanted when I heard about it and I’ve already forced myself through all the content without being able to Q the way I wanted too. I missed the bfd before first reset specifically because I want to tank it. Tell me how many resets should I miss before giving up and dps’ing again? When thousands of people including myself can’t find this thing.
except on the front of being able to play a god damned warlock tank, it is the reason a large number of people came back. i have spent hours looking for it other people have spent hours looking for it there are schizophrenic conspiracy maps showing everything we have done to try and find it and we don’t even actually know if its in the game or not cos at this point the odds of it being bugged are higher than the odds of us not finding it. instead of your stupid take why don’t you find the rune if the issue is that we can’t play a game that is not datamined or guided to death.

a hint does not mean it is at this exact spot in this zone. It means just saying kalimdor or east kingdom’s, or even saying a zone either way works cuz that would shrink the search area down rather than people searching all the zones top to bottom and most ppl death running the zones.
The only “hint” they should give right now is that it isn’t bugged. A lot of things are at the moment and this assurance would at least keep people searching.
Is this literally the only rune that has not been discovered?

On the discord a GM/dev said it was working. They also said hints would start in a few days if it still hasn’t been found.

Good news and bad. I have no horse in the race, but its a shame that something couldn’t be completely solved by the playerbase.
Now if it turns out to be something dumb like having to click something 13 times, not 12 or 14 when server time ends in a 6, then yeah, people are going to be rightfully annoyed.

TBH they shouldn’t have locked such an important and desired rune behind something so crazy if it ends up being that.
Do a less important rune, not the one a lot of warlocks were only playing for

I bet it’s underwater, makes sense they’d make you use a demonology skill to find it.
I’m not in the discord so I don’t know all the info, but my guildie said I think something about fire and shadow or something to that effect? Wouldn’t that be something to do with the Dark Irons?
One of the druid runes for night elves can be fished up. So it’s entirely possible.
