Where is the Latino Culture at in WoW?

There’s a Day of the Dead holiday, and the Zandalari look way more Aztec to me anyways, King Rastakhan was one fatality away from being Kotal Khan.

That being said I wouldn’t complain about a random sombrero for transmog.

Latin culture? I live in Brazil, city of São Paulo - SP and would like the OP to exemplify what Latin culture would be and how it could or should be shown here.

Much of Latin culture is inherited from European countries like Portugal, France, Spain and the Netherlands.

As far as I know, Zandalar with his Inca / Maia / Aztec theme already does that with his architecture, but this is not something that really worries me.

There was another player, on the forum - Br, who asked why we don’t have a representation of the Ottoman Empire culture in the game.

I don’t know if this is important or if it needs to be represented in a PC game in the cartoonish and imprecise way that Warcraft usually does.

The male dance is also indian and the reason they had monks in TBC was because they were supposed to be a reference to this culture. The “naaru symbol” appearing in their forehead as a racial was also a nod to a Bindi. But yeah, their accent is totally eastern european hah, as most WoW cultures, they are an amalgamation of RL cultures. For Draenei it’s mostly the orthodox church, indian culture and some arab stuff as well.

They havent’ focused as much on the indian aspects after TBC though.

You’re muy loco if you think that’s good enough to call it a day.

Why shouldn’t they?

Cultures are something to be shared not exclusive, and sombreros are awesome.

You might want to look up Loa history which has absolutely nothing to do with the Aztecs.

Well Spaniards aren’t Latino anyways. They’re just the reason you guys speak Spanish. :fist:

Spaniards themselves no. But Latino culture borrows a lot from spain since, y’know, they are our ancestors.

I agree. Pugs and Corgis are cute and all but I want a pitbull.

Ancestors? They’re your conquerors.

Fantasy mmos about orcs and talking cows could use less representation. Or not have it at all, because this game is about talking cows and fox people

Haha cool, honestly I was just vibing to get a feel for the thread. I would imagine some places in America nowadays having a weird cultural isolationist vibe.
