Absolutely molten take: the only reason “game mechanics =/= lore” is to make it easier for two random people to RP with each other without having to take time to agree on interpretations of stuff. If you actually sit down and plan RP with a set group, taking game mechanics as lore only makes the world feel richer.

As another Monk I can confirm this to be true, as I am also grandmaster of the Monks. RPing as anything else would be lorebreaking.

it’s because the only counterargument that meant anything has been from one guy, the others are “people rp what they want to b/c they pay to RP” the point is that it’s bad for roleplay and no one has said anything meaningful to the contrary
I can understand to the OP, i mean, normal folks are really cool and make you feel a better immersion in the WoW universe. By the other hand heroics characters are good too and an essential part of WoW universe.
But characters that are leaders and champions of several organizations are just bad and ruin the game atmosphere. I mean, this is an epic and fantasy game, but even in this kind of universe we need some common sense.

I haven’t been motivated to RP so Soljeron is fresh but he’s a Blood Knight who helped liberate Suramar who now serves as a Knight instructor (to teach people how to RP blood knights right : ) ) and a chef.
