Fairly sure all life on Azeroth came from either the Old Gods or the Titans. Prior to the Old God’s arrival the entire planet was a wasteland devastated by the elemental wars.

If we were to get nitpicky about it, the Orcs are aliens to Azeroth, if I understand the Warcraft movie right. They originally came from Draenor through the Dark Portal.

Elemental lords > Old gods > titans > then first non-titanforged sentient races. Since all life was created by the old gods first (their insect races) or seeded by the titans later there are no actual native Azerothians except the elementals.

Some races appeared. Remember Azeroth herself is a titan. The creatures on Azeroth are part of her. That or they grew on her. Think of us like parasites on skin or antibodies of the world fending of the threats. The titan constructs are made by the titans. The other races also birthed other races such as Mogu made the sethrak.

That is part of the titans seeding life. The titans created devices and keepers to do that. Also the Mogu are titanforged.

“Alien” is just a word for a friend who hasn’t abducted you yet.

I had a theory about that. I imagine most of the beast races are animals that evolved because of the Well of Eternity. Like how the Jinyu used to be murlocs that evolved because of the waters in the Vale of Eternal Blossoms.

That would mean that the original intelligent races of Azeroth would be the trolls and the early shared ancestor of goblins and pygmies.

Quite right. The Aldrachi Warblades for demon hunters are the last remains of a race the Legion wiped out.

I feel like a citation is required here. While Mimiron experimented on us, granting us higher intelligence, he wasn’t the creator of us. He simply came across us. Our actual origins are largely unknown from what I recall of the lore.

I’m waiting for the highly intelligent dinosaur to come back from space. I’m wondering if it will come back like in Star Trek: The Motion Picture.

Here’s the issue, like in our reality, traveling through space is very difficult for living creatures. It is mathematically impossible that there isn’t alien life out there in some form but at the same time, it is very likely they are trapped just like us on our little rock. The space squids are a rarity that can travel across the gap so it is pretty reasonable to expect if we are going to go see more aliens, we would have to be the ones to go find them most likely. And… blizz is too focused on forcing the “red bad blue good ugg ugg” thing to explore more interesting things like space fantasy.
