Why would I heal in SoD, it’s boring and not fun.
You say dumb things. Bad and spiteful takes.
I do.
I don’t disagree that wild growth is way too much mana at 40. It was OK at 25, but the scaling has screwed it.
I have to disagree about healing rain though. I don’t have final scaling for healing rain (my shammy is 37), but it would take 5.5 seconds of healing rain (including the 1.5s cast time) to equal the first (instant!) tick of wild growth on my 40 druid - they are both in similar BFD gear. I have just accepted that they are vastly different spells. Healing rain is a lazy trickle (which is nice but largely worthless), wild growth is an “oh sh*t”. Wild growth will save you from a wipe. Healing rain is good for topping off some environmental drain damage and padding healing meters.
FYI, there is a display bug that makes it look like healing rain is hitting the whole raid, but it’s only healing the target player’s group.
When a group of 5 people levels in a dungeon together, only 1 tank and 1 healer get leveled. 3 dps. When you open the raid size to ten but still only need one tank, and now 2 healers and 7 dps, the numbers get skewed. The solution nis for yourself to either play a tank or a healer. You dont want to do that but you expect others to want to do that.
This has been a problem for 20 years. On retail at the start of Dragonflight you literally couldn’t do Mythic+ or PvP because healers were impossible to find.
They have no idea how to make healing enjoyable for the majority of people. As a Priest, I have people tell me “added you” after damn near everything I do. STV, Uldaman, Gnomer, RFD. I get spammed with whispers from people looking for a healer. It’s wild.
so they have to pay respec to shadow and back every week, require different sets of gear, can’t solo and grind as effectively as a dps and you’re seriously sitting there thinking it’s loot that’s making healers scarce?
…are you dumb?
You mean you are in demand as a healer? People will give you all the gear you need to perform well? Why would people not want to play this? Why would they want to play a pumper dps when they could play an in demand healer? Maybe it has to do with the way people treat healers when they fail. Or when the healer doesnt fail, but they still died.
Tanks and dps think way to highly of themselves.
people have different incentives to play the game.
Most people want to PvP as dps.
Healers can’t achieve this by receiving healer gear.
You’re thinking hunters and ret paladins. Ret paladins will basically steal any type of armor and/or weapons from any spec because they know they’re useless and WILL have to heal or tank eventually.
It’s why they are a big no no in my groups.
Oh… I don’t know… maybe they could get some gold at the end of the run? What if there was a pool of gold and the healers got a slice at the end?
Just wait.
Carry my shaman through everything and I swear I wont leave your guild after you gear me XD
Dude is a troll. Ignore.
More like you went to a guild with loot council to have privilege where you will be prioritized to get loot instead of competing in equal footing.
Healer is the most entitled role in any game.
From this point forward, your opinions are all invalid.

hybrid dps are no longer pure garbage. so no one is forced to heal anymore.
Healing just isn’t fun in classic/SoD. You press your aoe button when your group gets low. you keep up one HoT and you occasionally flash heal someone. Why play that when you can play a spec that uses multiple DoTs, procs, and multiple buttons in a rotation
penance doesn’t even heal a quarter of the HP, can’t save anyone from getting ganked, I get 1-2 shot.
STV was so unfun it made me consider throwing the whole sod file folder into the recycling bin
Said it in another thread. BFD required 1 healer.
Gnomer requires 2-3 healers.
The devs did not think this out lmao
