Rolling Horde on any server that isn’t the top 1 or 2 population servers was always going to be a risk. Everyone knew that Alliance was going to be stacked for SoM due to SoM mostly being about updated raids.
Blizzard could have fixed this obvious and glaring problem by either doing some balancing tweaks on Paladins and Shamans, or by simply allowing Dwarf Shamans and Tauren Paladins to exist for SoM.
Well I mained a horde moonkin all of classic. Where do you go from there? Only logical choice in my meme mind was ret so here I am lol. Loving it so far.

Anyone who thinks “balancing tweaks” is the easy answer hasn’t paid attention to gaming development in the last 30 years. Allowing Alliance Shaman and Horde Paladins is actually the far simpler solution, and it would still be a nightmare in Classic Vanilla.
ETA: a nightmare from a game development standpoint, I wouldn’t be opposed to it as long as the faction abilities were mirrored.
