the more someone claims to be a “pumper” the worse they are at the game usually. regardless of ilvl as well. I’ve invited people who claimed to be pumper dps with super high ilvl and they screw up basic mechanics.

Big pumpers gives me flashbacks of terrible corruption carried dps in bfa who did not pump by any means and then pumped even less when corruptions disappeared

In the groups that I have been in that list “pumpers” it is never any noticeable difference with other groups in terms of how smoothly the run goes. Sometimes it goes well, sometimes mediocre, sometimes bad. The only correlation I see with the “LF PUMPER” groups is regarding poor attitude, not gaming skill.
A setting that makes it so I can pug raids with regular people no pumpers or one shots or esports or i have every consumable enchant prebis and its week one or you make one mistake and get replaced while i yell at you over a video game
10 out of 10 times they are not serious about clearing the boss
pumpers in group is a better title than lf big dick dps i only worry about that when i plan on having sex.

any group asking specifically for “big pumpers” is 100% looking to be carried.

Sounds like a group leader that is definitely a civilized member of society and won’t tell me to die in real life if I do below 70k dps. Definitely not.

Usually a bunch of noobs who don’t do mechanics hoping for a carry.
Pumpers in group is usually just 1 higher ilvl DPS that is a carry DPS.
OP didn’t say they’re asking for pumpers or calling them self a pumper.
At least that’s how I read it

When I see “PUMPERS” in a raid/m+ pug, I always think of one of those pumps that dudes use to make themselves look bigger for a photo.
I join those groups. Dudes who are willing to sacrifice the control over their man member rigamortis simply for the perception of being blessed, are probably going to stick it through until we clear 7/8 bosses.
But then I leave. They definitely won’t get 8/8.
It conveys to me that the leader wants meta classes, and is generally incapable of discerning good players beyond what the RaiderIO addon tells them.
