Say physical appearance in a fantasy game you have
<-------------------------------->
close to self, vs. far from self
Personality, the same
etc.
Where do you intuitively start, not that its intentional but can any examples be given of both sides? Like oh I used to rp as this male human paladin and now its a zandalari troll hunter.
How then have the personalities grew, at this stage do you refrain from the ultra personal, or do you see a personal side in all fantasy and is it harder to be genuinely creative than when you started? (at least in in your own self perception)

I go with the pro wrestler mentality, ill pick a trait i have that i think fits the clas/race fantasy and push the dial up on that trait to be their driving force. Then the experiences they would have if they were the main player for the expansion would be what helps then evolve as a character.
Appearance wise whatever i think looks coolest
