When will you FIX ANIMAL COMPANION?

for W/e reason it does 0 dmg on fights as if it isnt there, terrible as$ company cant even fix a simple bugg that has been reported 1 year ago.

They did fix it. It’s about on par with Killer Instinct now.

I’ll still never take it, but it’s there if you want it.

Some of glitches were fixed.

Believe or not, it is pretty better than when it released.

I like the idea of it but I have problems with it as well. Sometimes that second pet doesn’t want to spawn very fast after landing and attacking sometimes. Also a lot of times the second pet will get stuck on something or have pathing issues.

Blizz fixed most of Animal Companion issues.

But sometimes, the 2nd pet is a bit slow to appear. I never dismiss my pet as much as possible to avoid the 2nd pet from appearing late. When the 2nd pet is there, I hit way way harder than when with Killer Instinct. On AoE, Animal Companion is somewhat OP… it’s Beast Cleave with 2 frenzied pets, it’s Stomp with 2 pets would always be better than with a single pet.

And it’s really perfect for Dance of Death Build.

Sounds like a ‘you’ problem.

From my experience with the talent, it seems to behave improperly with the attack/follow commands at times. Using Kill Command and Barbed Shot will send your pet attacking your target and the companion will also charge to it, but will come back to me right away if it was on follow, which the main pet does not. Only after using attack will it stick to the target.

There’s also the whole taking forever to spawn while your main pet does reduced damage even if the companion isn’t present that makes it unplayable when flying around questing that really needs to be fixed. I don’t remember having that problem at all when Hati was a thing. I assume it has something to do with having to check what the first pet in your stables is.

Now in situations where you actually don’t have to dismiss your pet because it got stuck somewhere, the talent does outperform the other 2 options on its row by a fair margin at this point.

I wish they’d fix the glitch where it doesn’t show up for a while. I went into Camo the other day without noticing that my second pet wasn’t out. As I was sneaking past a group of mobs the second pet suddently appeared in plain site and everything aggro’d me.

I’ve not had any issues. It’s slow to pop out sometimes but that’s about the only problem I’ve had personally. Calling Blizz a terrible company because you had an issue is a little harsh. Grow up a bit maybe?

Agree, Blizzard has been giving Hunters the cold shoulder far too much. No matter the feedback we have given they still go with the direction they think is best.

These bugs make this one of the most miserable talents I’ve ever used tbh lol, especially in M+. Realllllly hoping it gets looked at in 8.3.

On to Shadowlands!

I am using it and there are still some bugs blizz need to fix.
Sad that BM hunter will be untouched in 8.3. And we need some adjustment.

Hopefully this will change going forward.

I doubt that they will do much with it for 8.3.

That would be the more likely scenario indeed.

The talent itself leaves some things to be desired, to say the least.
Many of the issues with it, have been there since we first got it in late alpha, heck it even went live with a few vital functions missing, some still are.

Why haven’t they fixed it yet? No idea.

But honestly, as a BM hunter, you should not have to rely on a talent in order to have 2 pets out. It’s the same as Lone Wolf for MM.
Lone Wolf in the past was a talent, and that was a horrible design. They then turned it into a baseline passive. As in, MM hunters can choose to have either 1 pet out, or none.

For BM hunters, they should be able to choose between having 2 pets out, or 1, without relying on talent choices.

Animal Companion in itself, and how it’s designed mechanically, is honestly horrible. The fact that you have to call out one pet, followed by the game then checking the server for your stable, locking in which pet that should be summoned, and then after this lock-in, the game actually calls out that second pet.

That’s not a good design. It would be much better if we had it as a passive lock-in where, you call out your first pet, it counts as the main pet ofc. which makes that be the pet who growls(taunts) enemies and your main pet determines which passive pet-related effect you get(ferocity/tenacity/cunning) along with the active ability.

With this, if you also choose to manually call out a second pet(which you also have brought with you) then, after doing so, whenever you click on “Call Pet”, the game will automatically call out both those pet’s you have chosen. There would be no delay, where you wait on the game to check the server for what is in your stable(or w/e it is that is currently causing the delay in the appearance of your Animal Companion).

If you want to go back to only using one pet, then you simply right click on your second pet, and dismiss it. And vice versa, in case you once again want to use 2 pets.
