When Rules Don't Apply

In an ideal world, rules exist to maintain peace in a free society.

Sadly, not every society is free, and therefore there is some discretion where rules can be disregarded.

Simply put, when human rights are at stake, rules don’t apply. We have seen this fact play out in history and courts time and time again.

The actions and rulings taken by Blizzard (Taiwan) failed to take these things into account. The responsibility to correct this error belongs to Blizzard (America).

To quote Grunde Almelund of Norway:

And reddit user u/abombweiabu:

Reverse your decisions. Be on the right side of history, human rights, and international law.
