No, Legion gave Hunters the option to play Lone Wolf. In current retail BM gets too pets, Surv gets one and MM gets a Hawk that flies around and aids you.

Lone wolf was an option in WoD before legion.

Not saying it was bis, dont really remember if it was or not, but it was an option in WoD.

Yeah, LW has always been BiS for Marks since it was added and it’s been a great option. If you want a more traditional Hunter, survival and BM are a lot of fun.
