WoD music was on point imo, too bad the expac had nothing to go with the music 
WoD music had more detail than any future expac, which is why I love it so much!
It had day and night sea music for example, which is something they have not done since.
WoD was a bad expac but the music was on point. Frost fire Ridge music is just 
it peaked in legion
the last good piece was the antorus the burning thone OST
WoTLK’s Howling Fjord and Grizzly Hills is the peak of WoW music.
I’d consider Daughter of the Sea peak actually. It was such a surprise during BFA.
MOP had good overall music rather than just one song imo.
WoD. Warsong Clan is my favorite. Parts of A Siege of Worlds are great too. Tthat one’s 12 min long so it takes a bit to get to the parts I like the best.
WoTLK but, I would argue DF actually has some that give me the same ‘I will always remember this’ vibe like Dalaran or Grizzly Hills. Azure Span music is good, I hum the opening sequence a lot and I swear I can hear kids laughing, birds chirping, and smell a village pit fire when it plays the chorus.
With the Jiana cutscene?
That was pretty amazing. Discovering it when turning in what I thought was a throwaway dungeon quest was awesome. Peak use of story and cut scenes as well.
I always play with music turned off except when I step into Karazhan.
I think I saw it on youtube first but yeah that one.
And shortly after that she got turned into exposition Jiana in the Maw.
Night and day examples there. One used story to enhance the game play experience, the other sacrificed story and game play to try and do both at the same time.

Mists is probably the last expansion soundtrack I really remember.
Every expansion has had great bits of music it is hard to say. Id say DF has the least amount of truly memorable tunes for me but the few rhat stood out are great. Valdrakken, some nokud sections, the fyrakk/aberrus/neltharion fight music, ans ofcourse the ED music to name a few.
The expansion I remember the most tunes is def BfA. Amazing from start to finish. But every expansion has great music
