When did the WoW Community die?

lol that ‘playful banter’ would get you reported even banned now days.

Having a condition doesn’t negate the RESPONSIBILITY one must bear, the ACCOUNTABILITY for one’s actions. If you have anxiety, you still have to be responsible as a free-walking person to deal with it. It’s by no means a LICENSE TO WEAPONIZE IT against the rest of us.

I will gladly defend myself like I always have, lest I add far more to one’s anxiety than they need to deal with. Because I don’t pull those punches; get it under control or others will.

This is 100% the reason. Or the majority of the reason, I suppose.

I really appreciate your optimism.

It’s just how things go. People kinda hate balance they want one thing till they are sick of it then want the other extreme. I think the big difference is that those who are requesting control are seen as more villainous at the moment then virtuous

I’m Neutral Good. I’m Imoen. I don’t care to be Lawful, but I have and would never be truly malicious with anyone. That means I’m going to be something of a shady trickster like she had been in Baldur’s Gate.

When I myself had been something of an ex-convict myself in this subject matter, I don’t really request more control. Those who are actual criminals don’t care how much control Blizzard would put in; they’ll go around it. I’m not supposed to self-identify as a “Rogue” in this because that’s not really what real Rogues do…

But let’s just say that if you looked at my character sheet in the community, you might find a level or two in a certain class. Just sayin’, without sayin’ nothin’.

I have no idea what it is you are trying to say.

Moonguard trade chat is always going with banter. And trade chat on any other high pop servers I see are usually, well, trading. So whats so dead about it? I’m confused why we’re taking the level 47 classic character seriously, but i’ll throw my hat in I guess.

Nothing more complicated than someone who doesn’t feel he has to play by the rules, come what consequences may. We do “exist”(forget I said it), and some of us might be the brightest lights in the community.

And yet some of us believe that if the law went after the REAL BAD guys, WoW society might be so much better that there would be less roguish ones about.

Because all the babies cry if you talk, so no one talks anymore so the babies don’t cry or /report.

No one likes crying babies.

In tbc then tbcc everyone was in Shattrath. they’d fly out to dungeons.

More like 2 people did. The 2 people who drew shortest straws to be the stoners to fire up stone teleporting.

Or were spamming the pvp battlemasters. IN the redo some nights you couldn’t even see the dwarf BM. there’d be 30+ players on the dude.

The dranei since tall was easier to spot. you could click on their head since much taller over players.

Since yeah…it be really odd to send all several hundred if not thousands of now level 70 caps to arathi to stage for AB.

My computer almost crashed last night because the community was communiting a lot.

Yeah but back in TBC someone had to fly out to summon for higher level dungeons .
Lower levels were still out in the world doing their quests and running to dungeons , but once Cata hit and LfD was in full swing and once you got to a min level to que for dungeons people were camping in Org and SW pretty much turning Trade Chat into Barrens Chat 2.0

I’d argue that Blizz removing Screenshot of the Day, Fan Art, and Fan Comics from the website did far more damage to the community then LFG system. In Game, gold sellers like Susan, bots, and tryhard memer’s ruined chat.

The main thing that killed it was cross realm everything and the anonymity that comes with it. You hardly ever run into the same players out in the world. Every player is just some background fluff and might as well be an NPC. Add in group finder to execute any sense of community that might have existed.

Before all of this it was a regular occurrence to see the same people in your groups, BG’s and out in the world. You could get a bad rep if you were a dickhead or scammer and that promoted good vibes mostly. You could also become kind of known on your server as a good player or have rivalries with players of the opposite faction. You would see familiar faces in PvP much more often. Etc etc etc

Cross realm everything and group finder are convenient and are nice to have but we gave up server community for them.

One group of people who won’t give a flipping crap-patty about that would be the criminals…

Whatever my own personal reasons would be, I won’t stop [before the fact, maybe even after] because the other was a real baby.

The addition of Looking for Dungeon and Looking for Raid started it all mid late Lich King time frame when they were added…back in the day if you were not like on a realm or did someone dirty in a dungeon or raid run …word went out about you being a you know what…and you were not invited too better guilds or picked up for raid or dungeon run…word got out…

GW2 FTW. Friendliest humans on earth

Yeah…problem with that was furry adult artists kept winning and their character names matched their artist handles…

So basically I ignored everything you said.

Hope you have a great week.

And you cant get mad at me for soft ignoring everything you said. Its my responsibility to to control how I interact with people. Even ones trying hard to be anti social.
