When did people stop wanting to have fun? - repost

from reddit

What the **** is wrong with everyone here? Every post is blaming Blizzard for the things the community as a whole does. Nobody is forcing you to zerg in AV, nobody forced you to roll a mage and spam dungeon cleave runs. Nobody forced you to farm level 48 Alliance players. **** the spy addon, **** killing Flamelash, and **** you for hiding behind ****** excuses for griefing other players. When did this community become less about the journey and more about the destination? You aren’t going to get rank 14, and you are ruining the game for people who don’t want to min max.

I’ve been able to maintain my “fun” mindset for the most part, but it’s tough seeing endless temptation from the modern gaming culture of min/maxing, researching the heck out of a game before it’s even released, lore spoilers from datamining and mass datamining in general, and this isn’t even just wow.

Spot on. Nothing is fast enough anymore…

Damn mil- I mean zoomers! Back in my day we drank after each pull and there wasn’t no fancy alt tab to look at fortnite streams and cartoon tiddies while we waited either

i dislike this community of kiddos ruining this game

People make fun of it, but a lot of retail’s design is in part because of the way people play nowadays. Players cannibalize content as quickly as they can and tend to go for whatever is optimal, even if they’re not usually the competitive sort. It’s happened with literally everything in classic so far.

Anyone complaining about the current AV dont rush with the zerg, play it how you want

Just a bunch of basement dwellers who failed at life taking it out at others. I will say classic has been the worst exprienece i have had in my 13+ years of gaming in terms of community “exlcuding my server, its pretty good”.

Oh, that place…don’t do that, man.
When “everyone” suddenly became a “gamer”… smh
