Real simple question from a majority of the concerned players that want to play World of Warcraft again. When are you going to stop this Elistist jerk attitude you have with gear progression? Gearing up in this game should be fun, easy and attainable.
PvE players should just be able to attain max Rank gear regardless of rating. PvP players should be able to do the same. If you have Conquest from doing BGs you should be able to purchase 246 gear at the Vendor. There should be a Valor Vendor and if you have Valor from Questing, you should be able to buy 252 gear.
This isn’t complicated. Stop making us compete in the aspects of the game we want nothing to do with it only creates a toxic environment for everyone! Remove the toxic great vault. Just have vendors, let everyone get max item level gear with resources and no rating. Keep it simple and let player actually play the game finally and maybe…just maybe have fun.
There shouldn’t be ANY ranks on gear keep it simple!! Since there are Ranks, just remove Rating Requirements or continue to drive players away at staggering numbers. If you want people to play your game “LET THEM” gear up and be able to play your game. M+ and Arena should only be for cosmetics and seasonal titles since it’s a competition!
It’s a real shame that most of the player base doesn’t even really get to experience SL due to the worst gearing in the history of the game. Why SL has the largest player sub dip is no surprise.
9.1.5 won’t bring players back because people still can’t gear up. The massive amount of RNG, Rep and Resource grinds and worst of all…Rating. People will just play other games where that isn’t the case.
If that’s what you want to do cool. I think I should be able to spam Torghast and get 252 gear. Layer 12 requires 252 gear, why can’t I progress in there solo to 252.
The main reason why people quit this game is because of not getting the gear they want and SL is the worst gearing has ever been in both PvP and PvE.
There is no reason for an Elitist attitude eliminating the majority of players from ever having fun or getting to experience what the game has to offer.
You should gear up “THEN” compete in M+ or Arena. You shouldn’t be gearing up in M+ and Arena, the Devs got it backwards.
I already did. It’s crazy how wrong the Devs got SL in regards to gearing. It just makes no one want to play. Also the PvP vendors are terrible because they lack itemization and am forced to do M+ to get Haste/Mastery or Crit/Mastery. That also needs to be addressed in regards to PvP.
Even though you don’t do PvE you can realize with common sense that M+ is equal to Arena. They both have competitive seasons. Competition shouldn’t be about gear it should be about skill. Whether competing in M+ or Arena you should already have the required gear to compete in them.
PvE should have Valor Vendors and PvP should have Conquest vendors both should reward BiS gear with no rating. This only promotes a healthy game, better competition and allows the player base to experience all the expansion has to offer and really tinker with builds and Alts.
it really sounds like you’d be happier with a single player game where you can just enter cheat codes, give yourself all the best gear, and then tinker with builds all you like
Well for one you got BiS PvP gear casually in WoD from Ashran. You could be fully geared in 2 weeks. Also WoD is revered by the majority of the PvP player base as the best gearing expansion. Everyone could attain gear then compete. This is how it’s supposed to be.
With that said even in BFA there was casual ways to gear as we had Heroic raid gear in Visions and Conquest from Island Expeditions. When I came back to BFA in 8.3 I Conquest capped 3k points in a week from Islands and then geared up in Visions. Now that isn’t possible. There is no path.
As for PvE it wasn’t hard to earn Justice or Valor and buy the items you wanted at the Vendor in previous expansions. Gearing used to be easy and simple. You could target BiS gear. Gearing always should be simple and easy in this type of game. That is how you retain players.
I’m sorry but players don’t like this Elitist gearing attitude in this game and this situation has made some of it’s players feed of it making them Toxic Elitist as well. If you want a successful MMO again. It has to go.
How will we fix the game though if we don’t keep talking about it? I’m not the type of person to just leave without fixing it first. We can save WoW but it will take a lot of work together.
SL doesn’t need to be the worst gearing expansion and keep driving players away. If Blizz wants players to come back. Let get them geared up so they can play the game.
