When Are We Getting Fast Flight Options?

As much as I love only paying 1 gold to spend 14 minutes flying from one end of EK to the other, why don’t we have options at flight masters that charge us more to fly much master? We need an option like that. Willing to pay more for faster flight paths thanks

I’m trying to figure this sentence out ,what?

You do have faster options, they’re called portals.

I was going to make a suggestion but people hate that game so I will refrain.

Pretty much this.

Honestly just have the Nightborne travel the world and setup a massive portal network.

Using your flying mount will get you places faster. And its free.

You know what a Freudian slip is? It’s when you say one thing, but you mean your mother!

Oh gessh, that doesn’t even follow the same thought it’s another tangent altogether.

Please read the sign. Points to sign ------> “This is a known troll, please do not feed them.”

Literally all we need is a second option of +500% flight speed for double price. No need to get weirdly complciated

One of my biggest issues with SL was with the flight paths (namely having to stop at Oribos every time to get anywhere). If they had made flight speeds 200% what they normally are, would have made SL much more bearable. When I’m playing WoW I shouldn’t be spending half my time waiting on my phone.

Honestly I hate using my mount for long distance flight. If I’m flying from Moonglade to Ferales, I most certainly DO NOT want to be on my mount.

Flying in to Hyjal is a pain in the neck, for example, with the steep climb. Let the taxi do all the work.

I was in Felwood the other day trying to figure out how to get to Tanaris efficiently. Ended up talking to the NPC to revert Darkshore/Darnasuss, taking the portal to SW then the portal to Tanaris. I had the NPC revert because I honestly don’t know if the portal survived the cataclysm, and didn’t want to go all the way and find out it hadn’t.

In truth I’d of much rather taken a taxi to Tanaris from Felwood rather than do the Portal juggle, but that’s just flat a long way to go, and the taxi would have taken too long. Were the taxi faster, I would have taken it.

Flight path time (wasted) has always been a pet peeve of mine. So, any suggestion to improve the system I’m all ears.

In another (old) game, mage players were able to mark rune-stones at any location in the game, and sell/gift their stones to other players. We even had books to store the rune-stones in so that it didn’t take up a lot of space in bags. I’ve been hoping for the past 17 years that wow would do something similar - and I’m still waiting & hoping

Back in the day, in Alpha at least, maybe Beta, we had binding stones. Binding stones were used for you graveyard, and had no cooldown.

This led to folks setting their binding stone in Org, then travelling to Thunderbluff (for whatever reason), and then they would suicide to instantly get back to Org.

The consequence of this was rather horrific. The little pond in TB was filled with corpses. Or, you’re taking the elevator up, and see someone else falling down past you as they jumped to their deaths. I tell ya, it was terrible.

With good ideas?

That’s very unfortunate. I’m sure given the vast creativity and technical skills at Blizzard that if they wanted to correct that issue from reoccurring then they could have done something more creative.

A rune-stone system in wow would be awesome, maybe not exactly like the old game I described but non the less it would be awesome. Perhaps a vendor who sells pre-localized rune-stones, and an accompanying system where you could earn them to special locations such as dungeon entrances, etc…

Please, this is blizzard forum, not open mic night in a comedy club.

Dark Irons are solid for this (mole machine), especially if you’re a DI mage with engineering with the garrison mage tower and class hall portal networks set up. Toss in the various hearth/teleport items and there isn’t a corner of the world you won’t be able to get to in a minute or less.

Basic: 300% flight speeds - 1g
Express: 600% flight speeds - 5g
ULTRA: 1200% flight speeds - 15g
OMEGA: 2400% flight speeds - 30g
Teleport to your flight path: - 150g
