Keep in mind that is people coming and going as they reserved their name.
This time around they’ll be coming and staying to actually play so the turn-around will not be anywhere near as fast.
Doesn’t matter. I’ll kick it off, and go do something else while I wait. I’ll get in when I get in, no rush.
I’m prolly gonna roll a toon or 3 on one of the new realms opening tomorrow. I know a bit of a queue is to be expected, but realms showing full (especially Herod and Whitemane) are looking at probably 3-4 hour queue.
I’m planning on rolling on Westfall as soon as servers come up, so I think there is a decent chance I will get in right away. However, I expect more established realms to have multi-hour queues.
The full servers will have a 3-5 hour queue.
Everyone else will be 2 hours or less.
Won’t be a long queue time if any. They are probably gonna release more then the 4 servers they have announced for tomorrow. Only ones that will have ridiculous queue times are the big 4 farlenia, Herod, Whitmane, and Thalnos.
I’m expecting 5 hours or more on Herod. Even something like 8 hours wouldn’t totally surprise me. If not, i’ll be pleasantly surprised.
To anyone thinking it’d be like the name res 10 min queues you’re in for a ruuuude awakening, people probably spent 15 min max getting names then exiting, folk were coming and going constantly and it was still 10 min… Now imagine everyone ACTUALLY playing the game on live multiple hours…
Coupled with the fact that a lot of people will be purposely staying logged in as long as possible. Yeah. Monster queues.
Now this is what I would call a realistic reply.
17 hours wait times
I’m hoping to be able to play, but I’m mentally prepared for an absolute cluster f $hite show. I won’t be surprised at all if the whole thing overloads and blows up. I’m expecting it to happen. I’m just hoping they have it fixed by the time most people have gone to bed around midnight eastern, so I can then play all night. I took off the whole week from work.
I’m hoping BB isn’t high high and is only a little bit high pop so there won’t be much queue before the game even starts. I’m going to be spamming that log in button and try to get ahead of the pack. If all goes well (aka no disconnects and long queues) I hope to be level 12 before I log out tonight.
I’m hoping to get lucky and not get stuck in the queue. I did my part, subbed ahead of time to allow Blizzard to count my head. I understand why a lot of people waited but it would have made launch smoother if everyone had done this.
Well I don’t get off work until 2 hours after the launch, and i’m not on one of the mega servers so HOPEFULLY my wait time will be minimal.
Of course, knowing my luck, I have to be back in at work the next morning at 8am, so naturally my server will have a 10 hour wait time…
…as long as it takes.
There is NO such thing as giving up.
The game of our dreams is HERE.
I’ve played since WoW launched and there were disconnects, and queues to wait thru, but we waited…because it was worth it. I look forward to playing classic because in spite of the frustrations, I loved submerging myself in this world. It wasn’t easy to make gold and get a mount or find your way around, but it was fun! I mostly solo, but people seemed more friendly and I enjoyed putting MotW on my fellow travelers. Safe travels friends~~and well wishes!
People were logging off after naming their toons, the queues are going to be much longer for a 10k player queue
none. Grobbulus wins.
3 hours.
But I am more concerned about being able to tag a mob for quests…
