There are a lot of mounts no longer available, or that are difficult to get, and if you are a mount collector, getting one of those can be fun. Was checking over one of those sites that lists mounts by the % of players who own one, and wondered if any of the folk on GD had one or more of them.
I shall start the ball rolling. According to that site, and to Wowhead, the rarest mount I own is the Silent Glider, which drops from Soundless in BfA. Its an extremely rare drop and I was quite shocked about two weeks ago when I was in Nazjatar, noticed Soundless was up, killed him and got it. Wowhead says that its owned by 1% of the population, not sure how accurate that is.
PS: would love to hear if you have one of the epic ground mounts from the first release of WoW. Ones like the Mottled Red Raptor.

Apparently, midnight from Karazhan. It dropped and I didn’t know what it was. I never use it, but I farmed for ashes of al’ar and use that almost always!

Ivory Hawkstrider (from the Avianna reputation, not Magister’s Terrace).

I know there is a website that tells you which is rarer but what I think it is is my ZA Bear.
Edit: since Boredom (ty btw) reminded me which website, it says this is my rarest mounts:

I have the original ZG raptor. I think that’s probably my rarest.

The Swift Razzashi Raptor? That was the first one I believe and isn’t available now, even for the rerelease of ZG.

Thanks for that name drop. I was not aware of this site.
For me, Data for Azeroth says my rarest mount is…the Amber Skitterfly…which I just bought on the Trading Post a few days ago.
My next rarest are Clutch of Ha-Li (the mount I expected to be the rarest) and Polly Roger (from Plunderstorm).
I got Ha-Li completely by chance during Battle for Azeroth. I had no idea the mount existed and had never seen the rare before. I was just doing my dailies, saw a rare on the map, and happened to he the first one there before a hundred other players descended on it. And I got the mount on my first kill.
Meanwhile, I’ve been farming the Karazhan mount since Wrath of the Lich King.

According to the list, the rarest I own is the Iskaara Trader’s Ottuk at 3%.
Oddly enough, it’s also my favorite mount from the entire expansion. It has a fishing rod!

My Amani Warbear. It required a lot of coordination to get back in the day and it was only obtainable for about a year…17 years ago lol.

I have the Swift Alliance Steed, or whatever it’s called. From the tribute chest after finishing Trial of the Crusader heroic with zero wipes. Removed at the end of WotLK.

Though to be fair speaking of tier 7 I’ve got the Undying title at least.

I used to play more seriously back then, and a few weeks before we got immortal we had made it to KT with zero deaths and about 15 seconds after KT becomes active after the add phase a mage pulled aggro and got 1 shot.
Vent was very quiet…
I’m glad we came back a few weeks later and got it.

That mage got to be That Guy. Kinda like the That Guy who didn’t kneel in time for Only the Penitent, or who activated hard mode on Flame Leviathan, or who stood too far back from the Flames of Azzinoth (triggering their charge → enrage), or who got feared into whelps…
Also damn. I remember Ventrilo…
And now I feel old.
