I think the rarest physical item I have is the old elite throwing weapons from s9 in my rogues bank. Required 2200 rating, no reason to keep them because you couldnt transmog them and the next season throwing weapon replaced them.
Dunno why I kept them, they are just grey items now, but Im not sure there are too many others hanging around in peoples banks.

Reminded me that my old mainâs bank is basically a time capsule from Vanilla.
Iâve got the lvl 60 (original) Onyxiaâs Head and Heart of Hakkar, the quests wonât work anymore lol, Scourgestones from the first Naxx event, Craftmanâs Writs, ZulâGurub Bijous/Tokens and other turn-ins, an Unadorned Seal of Ascension (UBRS access item), a random Six-Demon-Bag, Competitorâs Tabard, Tabard of the Protector, a Soap on a Rope (lol), original other ZulâGurub items (I eventually got the tiger, farmed it every day in Vanilla-TBC) like Mandokirâs Sting, Warblade of the Hakkari, various Brewfest Steins (all of them) including the very first one from the first Brewfest back in 07, and my favorite item, the Mallet of ZulâFarrak.
I realize now I really was a fan of dungeon and raid attunements, it felt like an adventure.
^^^ LOL, I still have this item and apparently you can sell it! Not that I would, itâs too important to me, nostalgia-wise. Linken is a cool gnome, as you can see. (Stormwind in the background doesnât even look that low-polygon anymore, lol)

But htats not hte point of the game for me , its all like notes for me to look over.
Some of the rarest, removed stuff in the game is in the âQuest Tabâ of the AH. I think âAll the Thingsâ gives a message to say if theyâve been removed. (Also scan the Grey items, thereâs a lot of old reagents there.)
I regularly check this and pick up any old, removed stuff for my âRemoved from the Gameâ Bank Alt!

Mirielâs oldest stuff is the Shaft of Tâsol, Faded Photograph, removed Leathers (Shadowcat, Tiger) and some of the stuff sheâs wearing and equipping.
I have Tyrealâs Charger and the Celestial Steed, and the Baby Blizzard Bear (and a few others) in many of my Altâs Banks from the days when they were sent. LOTS of Argent Dawn stuff, A Sacred Mallet, Thawpelt Sacks, Black Dragonflight Molt.
Iâm a WoW Hoarder, so I keep a lot of stuff.

Ty for the suggestion! Iâma get that addon and start browsing. Searching grey quest and profession items brought up a lit of interesting results and weird items. Might start small collections of unobtainables on a few toons, based off the theme of the toon and item.
My old main has the Arcanite Ripper, Sawbonesâ Shirt, the forgotten keepsake, a Disgusting Oozeling for bugging out Cthun, vampiric Batling from WOTLK prepatch, and the Argend Dawn set.
Or, as they are likely to be known in the future [Trading post items].
