I’m not entirely sure whether you where being sarcastic or not… but your comment does kind of bring up a point, in that I get the impression that tokens are a pretty inevitable thing for Classic, honestly.

Blizz isn’t going to want to give up the free money it produces, and players, will undoubtedly take the path of least resistance in order to get their gold… Gold buying in vanilla was pretty damn rampant, with basically everyone I knew on my realm having bought gold at least once.

I remember that spot. Used to often be camped by a gold farmer, always a hunter.

I have never done that. I would feel like such a prostitute. It’s like, really, you’re going to pay me to play with you? How about make some friends, try to get into a decent guild and play the game the right way? I don’t want to reinforce people’s poor behavior. Plus they probably bought the gold from a gold farmer.

I’ve seen others say they used to do that, which is fine. I’m just saying I don’t think I could do it without wrinkling my nose in disgust. I’d wanna smack those people. :slight_smile:

I used to solo farm RFD and SM on my Arms warrior for blues to DE in to Small Radiant shards to sell on the AH for ~4g each. It was always a good day when the rare spawn showed up in RFD, or when some yahoo was trying to corner the market and drove the Shard price up to 8g.

Also, during the Gate event, silk was selling for 2g a stack to guilds feeding the event. That was good times as well.

Live strat, runs took less than an hour, runs were plentiful and a decent run usually dropped 4-5 orbs which sold quite well.

Also it’s more fun running a dungeon than open world grinding.

Back in Vanilla, my method of farming gold was to find a bunch of mobs, AOE farm them repeatedly and then vendor the junk they dropped.

Efficient it was not. I recommend finding a better way of grinding gold if you can.

Depends on which mobs you grind. Some have some, in Frostadamus words, interesting loot-tables :sunglasses:

Current plan is to play 3 clients at once. 1 rogue (tank) and 2 x resto druids (one for HOTs and one for healing touch). Can stealth kill many 5 man bosses. Will vendor / DE loot. Will also smelt dark iron bars.
