What's the Most Chill Class/Spec in Retail?

Trying to figure out an alt, and I want a limited rotation, basically roll-my-face-on-the-keyboard easy. It can be tank/heal/dps. I don’t care if it takes forever to kill things, either. I just want something super laid back.

Beast Master Hunter for an offense-minded char. Prot Pally or Guardian Druid if you want an open-world almost never die character. The only issue with those is that you’ll need a second spec if you want to do any instances.

Couldn’t I just tank those instances?

very few of us played every class and every spec but… ret’s nice.

Imo, for just chillin BM Hunter is the chillest, with I’d say Holy priest healer wise.

I have to say, ret is pretty easy
Priority based rotation (whatever flashing) as a general rule

You can, but I don’t find tanking to be especially chill. DPS, you just shoot stuff. Tank you have to know the correct route, and fight people (sometimes) for aggro. It requires a small amount of thinking. More than a small amount depending on the group.

Yeah, that’s true. Tanking is kind of a drag, lol.

Guardian Druid. I’m playing through each expansion as one.

I have too much anxiety for instances and raids…so I RARELY enter them as a group or a pug.

But I absolutely love the spec for questing. Mangle, Maul, Swipe, Thrash, Moonfire–groups of dead mobs everywhere.

Holy Priest is chill to heal with. The most simple toolkit out of all the healing specs.

As for DPS–I really don’t know which is the most relaxing/chill.

Hunters are usually simplistic to play.

How about Resto Shaman? Any thoughts on that?

Resto Shamans are always the most wanted healer in the game, They have so much utility+ interrupt + lust + good dmg. It has a bit of learning curve but if you master it, it is top tier A++

definitely Guardian Druid. i have 11 toons at 60, and when i’m feelin lazy, i hop on the bear. like 4 buttons to push, don’t have to worry about dying, pretty good dps, don’t have to bother with dismount/mount when picking stuff up, stealth past junk i don’t want to deal with, Shadowmeld when i aggro stuff i don’t want to deal with. just absolute easy breezy mode.

Frost Mage.

Is it because Frost is chilly?

If your not looking to push crazy content I absolutely love Brewmaster monk for open world content and old content. Nonstop spinning crane kick helps in alot of old raids/dungeons.

Its not as good as end of legion brewmaster with nonstop rushing jade wind the number one AFK rare camping ability!

Shadow Priests. They’ve pretty much given up and just chill out drinking wine coolers now.

Honestly I think holy priest is one of the least chill healers. No other healer has the amount of short cds to manage not to mention using all of your holy word reduction kit and synergies effectively. It’s very fast paced and keeping up flash concentration can be annoying sometimes but it’s usually pretty easy.

Resto shamans are great. Fairly simple to play, of course you can dive into it and optimize it but as far as just chillin toss out a cloudburst using riptide all the time and fill in with healing surge. Obviously there’s more but you get the idea.

What about locks? Do they really have to do anything besides chaos bolt?

My opinion then I guess. I find rsham extremely boring and overwhelming.
