What's the chance of Dracthyr getting a tank spec?

They keep saying no, so I don’t think it’s going to happen.

Blizzard hasn’t said no/it wouldn’t happen. It’s just not planned and isn’t currently expected for Dragonflight.

When new specs are added to the classes we could very well expect it. So keep requesting!

Same chances as DH getting a healer spec.

Both should have a third spec, honestly.

A ranged DH spec focused on eyebeams and thrown glaives makes perfect sense. I never understood why it wasn’t there from the beginning.

Come now, theres no precedent for fel magic being used on a range spec.

Your expectation of getting a Tank class for Dracthyr should be zero right now OP.

Hitting things with other non-alive things is pretty basic.

Yeah because all it takes is to just randomly swing a sword and shield.

If they can figure out magic, it can’t take long to figure out hitting things yup.

Dragons dont have opposable thumbs which is why 5 man parties, 10, 25, and 40 man raids have all killed plenty of dragons in in Azoroths past with little to no effort on their behalf.
Why would a dragon risk his own neck for the other races of azoroth anyways exactly?

I hope to god that EVOKER REMAINS A DAMAGE CLASS AND NO TANK SPEC.

We’ve yet to see DH, but the Evoker does have 3 starter abilities in its class tree. If DH has only 2 starter abilities, it may be an indicator that they are considering fleshing out another spec centered around the black aspect. The only black aspect stuff it has baseline right now are the racials I believe.

Exactly a 6.478% chance. Don’t believe me? Check the math, it’s flawless.

Blizzard has enough tank classes so a new one is not needed.

You’ve got about as much chance as DH does in getting a ranged spec.

unfortunately its probably this but i am taking some massive doses of Hopium.

Regardless of whether there is a good chance or not, and there isn’t… I do think we should get a tank class for them. And I think it could be cool to have a more druid style to it where they could choose between heals and dps. I also think a ranged tank could be interesting if they have the right skills for it. Not sure what that would look like, but maybe having armor stand in for you and you have to manage a “pet” while also managing your health which is tied to it. Who knows.

That would be so sick, though!
Imagine an aerial bow class.

I hate to say this, because i agree with the OP, but the team presently seems very set on the idea that the evoker is not a melee spec, and a squishy caster.
Such a missed opportunity!
