The attitude of the alliance boasting about getting the mount made sure I’d never join them for anything even on alts. Its dumb unfair to design a activity and loot for only 1 faction.
Expected: Smart and witty argument against Alliance
Reality: Lame thread trying to pit one mount against everything
I’ve play both sides myself, however I main alliance more over the Horde, but for argument sakes and for story, I will play through the horde side to counter argue.
First off, since Cata, the Horde story line has been more developed since that mark then the Alliance story. How much Horde content was cut for Alliance story. I’ll play some elevator music while you come up with examples.
Couldn’t think of anything? I couldn’t either. The developers even admitted they took to much time with the Horde story that expansion, that the Alliance side had really no flavour. Second was the cut intro for the Twilight Highlands. Again they focused on the Horde story first.
Alliance only has received something mid to late expansion when the Horde got the spotlight at the start. Look at Legion, alliance had to wait 3 tiers worth of content to get resolution for Varian, while Vol’jin got a Funeral scene at the start where there was nothing for a leader of the Alliance.
Do I call that bias, maybe, maybe not. But development wise, I see it more in terms towards the Horde then Alliance. Yeh Blizzard want to shake up the Alliance, but the last time Alliance really got an exclusive story was back in Classic when it came to Ony. We have waited so long for a story like that you can see how many would scream bias.
Also, on a side note, if you wanted to know the whole worgen story, you had to play Horde to finish it. No other Horde race has that where you have to roll alliance to get the second half of their story.
When it comes to Racials and mounts, it’s all about people demanding x should be nerf because OP when it comes to racials. Or this faction got a mount I like, they scream bias. Development does favour and leans towards the horde, that isn’t some imagination, that is fact since WoW has been around.
Final note, you do know before Warcraft 3, Blizzard was going to make a game focused on Thrall and the Horde. Nothing about the alliance. That was scrapped to make warcraft3. Take it as you want, but before War3, Blizzard at the time was already wanting to focus on the Horde.
all those cool mounts the Horde got…that can be used by alliance alts whereas the Bee can’t be used by horde alts
Because this was the devs’ apology for just giving us more horses, more recolors and more races that only served to make the alliance look horrible, uninteresting and pathetic.
Have Mercy
The ones Alliance can get for free? Yeah, real cool. I wish my horde toons could get some of those horses.
Welcome to the Horde. Is it your first time?
umm no, I cant use any of the BfA exalted rep mounts. And you guys got some cool exalted mounts. We just got horses. Then when it came to having flying mounts on the rep vendors, you guys got some cool dinos… we got Gryphons… the horses of the sky.
You can literally get a better color of them for free.
So the one time they try to address the imbalance, you complain about it?
That’s akin to saying: “The imbalance should be there and how dare they do one single thing that favors Alliance, ever! We all know it is Horde that gets that dev love, not Alliance! Wahh, I’m not the golden child anymore!”
Don’t worry though, I’m sure there is plenty more shafting in store for the Alliance on the horizon!
I agree. This Alliance bias is getting out of hand.
Hopefully. That way it’ll be balanced.
Sorry, that was to OP. I know these new forums don’t show replies right.
I will never understand this. Alliance players can use most if not all of the hordes mounts they got this expansion. The only exclusive mount I can think of off the top of my head this expac would be the bee that the alliance got.
