I liked the potential of essences and azerite gear, I don’t think it was implemented perfectly, but I appreciate what they tried to do. I like trying to do new things with existing classes so stacked up azerite traits were fun to mess with even though many of those got “fun detected, fun removed” as the expansion progressed.
I fish up a bunch for guilds raid night lol
I like the allied races and the scenery. Zones were beautifully done.
Ah its not a toy? Ah hell with it I’ll still go fish. I don’t have any dailies to do
Yeah not a toy, they are consumable unique items that stack up to 5 in 3 different color variations. They last for an hour when used, and can be traded (but not mailed), but they disappear from your bags when the Darkmoon Faire is over.
For me it was the transparency of the Dev team and willingness to pretty much 180 on abhorrent design decisions.
I thoroughly enjoyed the Talanji Questlines.
hehehehehehehehehehehe
running around with a fish head on now
This is so stupid I love it
Being able to finally run around “Bear” chested on my warrior.
It’s ending.
nothing. Everything good legion did - bfa ruined. Everything bfa made by itself was bad.
There’s unironically a decent chunk of things that went well (so far).
-War Mode, even if the execution is a bit sketchy, is a godsend for people who were on PvE servers but wanted more wpvp (e.g. me), or vice versa. I haven’t turned it off for any significant period of time.
-Allied races, once the rep timegate barrier was passed through, were a fine addition to the game. Them, on top of Shadowlands customization, are a solid addition.
-AP no longer being spec-locked. While the Azerite system was a net downgrade from the Legion weapon system, one thing that it did better was not effectively lock you into one spec due to the AP grind being weapon-locked.
-While I think this was technically prepatch, Legacy Loot Mode was a solid addition for transmog collectors. LFR and SoO/WoD raids are no longer a nightmare to farm stuff from.
And there was the “Good-on-paper” ideas that didn’t quite live up to their potential, such as the “Global war” theme or island expeditions. The amount of content is certainly there, BFA certainly isn’t a WoD 2.0 in this regard.
The same as any expansion for me, the art team and their ability to always make the world beautiful regardless of how the game plays out. I really enjoy taking time to farm in Tiragarde Sound with it’s peaceful music, the night music in particular. The dungeons also match their themes pretty well, particularly Freehold and Waycrest Manor.
One positive is it’s ending soon.
Agree 100%. Being able to do world pvp when its fun but being able to get away from gank squads and still do the content they’re guarding is awesome.
I’ve really enjoyed the anniversary event.
There’s actually been a lot on BfA that I’ve enjoyed. The artwork is awesome (as always). The music is superb. I’ve enjoyed myself when I’m playing. Sure, there’s stuff that isn’t as good as it should be, but if the good didn’t outweigh the bad for me, I’d quit playing.
Heck the deathwing mount is why I’m back for now lol. I love that mount. I do wish I got back into the game sooner. I would have farmed that event for armor pieces and probably get Mechagon and Unshackled rep done with. I’m revered with unshackled and like. 2 bars away from mechagon revered so hey. Progress. Those contracts you can buy / make are life savers even if it’s just bits of rep each world quest. Every bit helps.
I was really enjoying the content at the beggining of the expansion, the invasions forced some memorable wpvp encounters.
Nazjatar, Mechagon and flying killed that experience.
It broke my play addiction. Other than that, Drustvar theme is my fav.
Sethrak And I dream they’re made playable one day!
And I know this is more than one positive but:
I also really enjoyed Drustvar and oddly enough I like Mechagon a lot. Sort of a different pace and the lore is interesting.
Island Expeditions.
The music.
But above all else, Sethrak! Love their design and lore and really am happy to see a race based off my favourite animal in some positive light.
