What's more difficult?

No you aren’t. This is just a “but WoW is too bloated/complicated/bad/whatever” thread.

Sorta like you usually do.

Is it because it’s too hard?

Because doing so is an exercise in obsolescence.

Well we all know where AI will get us…

You’re still a pilot even if you control an aircraft without physically being in it.

Of course, this is.

Teach the top ranked m+ player (with 0 flying experience) how to fly a plane.

Teach a top ranked pilot (with 0 gaming experience) how to do a +30 key.

If the m+ player can jump straight into a flight simulator with guidance from a good teacher…

If the pilot can jump straight into a max geared character with keybinds/talents already setup, guided by a good teacher…

Might not be that different tbh, especially if both are allowed an “over the shoulder” type of teacher guiding them.

There are some skills that overlap, pressing buttons in specific order, awareness, ect.

Both of them could probably memorize the sequence of buttons to push without truly understanding why those buttons are pressed

The pilot without a doubt.

Research how many hours of training are required to fly a jet (I have no idea.)

Are consequences considered a part of difficulty? Making an oopsie while flying a jet has far greater consequences than dying in a video game.

Nope consequences and bad outcomes aren’t a factor just the difficulty.

Realistic flight simulators exist though. You could probably memorize the startup sequence if someone was telling you what buttons to press. You might not understand why you are pressing those buttons but I’d imagine it’s do-able. People have landed planes with guidance from radio, ect.

flying the jet is… prob not that hard.

its the landing that will get ya :smirk:

over all, learning any precision task takes time.

the risks are higher with the Jet but the outcome is almost entirely up to the Pilot, so the demands cap out.

with M+ there are 4 other liabilities in the group. 5 if you count yourself.
each needs to cover each others short comings and or mistakes.

the Bar for M+ tends to move all the time. and the general risks are far far lower than flying a jet. M+ also doesnt have pre requisite requirements that would have any significant barriers to entry.

If you break it down to both of them needing to learn a specific Rotation of buttons to push for 30 min. Both could probably memorize that in less than a week.

Doesn’t mean they really know what they are doing but they could memorize it for sure

I guess the question is - difficult for who? Just taking a random dude off the street? Honestly, I would reckon some random civilian would probably have a better chance at landing a plane than timing a +30 with no experience.
