Whats going on with heritage armor?

I havent seen anymore heritage armor come out, or any revamps to old ones since the community wants more from it. I’d love for more heritage armor to come out and have it more diverse in the sense of its not just one thing! Like mage blood elfs would look different than rogue blood elfs. ya know?

I would suggest they actually finish the race heritage armor for everybody before making class sets for each race.

But, yeah, seems like they gave up on it this expansion like Brawler’s Guild and Archaeology.

They gave up on this game a long time ago, im just hoping with Xbox and their resources/money they can revive this game and bring everyone back and more. The community already made up concepts for each class and race. They could either hire or pay those people. it would be simple

Abandoned concept, just like Allied Races tbh.

They’re not finished or gone. Every time Blizz is asked they always reassure the rest of the races will get theirs. Originally the plan was to do it in SL. But a lot of other stuff went down, not everything they promised was able to happen in SL. Time constraints, delays and setbacks, priorities shift.

I would very likely assume though that the rest of the heritage will happen throughout the next expansion. Hopefully with Blizz being able to get back on a normal track.

But wouldn’t you think the best time to do NE and Forsaken heritage armor would be BFA and SL, two expansions driven by tensions between NE and Forsaken/Tyrande vs Sylvanas?

If time constraints, delays, setbacks, shifting priorities are so bad with Blizz that they can’t do two sets of heritage armor, then they’re a lot worse off than I thought.

“Hey uh boss? What about the other base races for heritage armor?”
“LULZ yer fired.”

Actually I think the best time is afterwards in 10.0, or even 9.2.5 if possible. Because the core races all have questlines and small story arcs tied to their armors.

So it’d make sense that in the wake of SL both of them would be looking to rebuild and think about their futures, and also consider their cultural heritages too. Both races just went through major events so the heritage line would be a nice to way to focus on closing the arc and what they’re going to do next.

Whereas right now we really haven’t interacted with them back on Azeroth lately and are still wrapped up in this ongoing war against the Jailer.

So you think the best time to have heritage pride is after they matter?

Makes sense. I know all the AR heritage armor came out when they were no longer prominent in the story, same as the other races. Oh, wait.

Heritage armor is a bust concept until they stop being stupid and put in two specific things, which should have been two of the first:

Spellbreaker armor, which means BELVES should get a Spellbreaker, and Lordaeron armor, which is always 100% relevant to the story, always. It literally doesn’t matter that the humans in the game are from other kingdoms.

They got hung up on sexy nelf armor I imagine. They designed it but are afraid to release it.
Bfa has some great armor that works for human. Belf got great armor. Nelf is the one that doesn’t have a good armor. There is plenty of troll and orc armor in game.

I REALLY want them to give us the armor the night elven archers were wearing in the 4th war… so sexy!

I almost think the word ‘heritage’ is verboten… (forbidden) like tradition … western tradition (heritage) history seems to be in for ‘demolishing’. So maybe this is why? If it’s not new and related to ‘nano bots’ and ‘transhuman’ borg computer futures…we are out of luck.

Yep, just so simple.

Given how bad things are at blizz and how slow work is this will be low on their priority list.

I dunno but they better be a 10.0 feature of I’ll stomp my feet.

Because a content drought is coming up, they should really get on this. Releasing new heritage armors for 9.2.5 would be something to do at least

Still waiting on…

  1. Orc
  2. Human
  3. Night Elf
  4. Undead
  5. Pandaren
  6. etc etc

9.2.5 adding Heritage armor for Night Elf and Undead that also serve as epilogues to the story of those races (since presumably 10.0 will move on from them) makes the most sense out of anything.

As far as Orc/Human, we kind of already got those in Warfronts, but regardless, those two races are “evergreen” and we will likely have a good shot in the future of having lore relevance that makes sense for them to be revisited.

Side-note: Does anyone want Pandaren heritage armor other than for the sake of completeness of the “Full Heritage Set”?

9.2.5 would be better than 10! Just do it!

Scrapped, or at least shelved.
