to be fair a large part of this is we have nearly 1.5x the gold availability as at lvl 25.
but yes, without a loot method to sink hundreds of gold into, gold prices will sink. this should be offset by banning bots (and will continue to deflate as less bots farm to meet lower demand, and buyers in turn hold on buying until price drops)
all of this is ironically offset by profession gold sinks and new shiny preBiS and BiS boes

It’s interesting to see the differences.
It’s weird to me for you to make a dig at Retail when Classic has many of the issues Vanilla players bemoaned about the current game. Epics too easy to get and being able to buy the best gear with Gold are two that come to mind.

GDKP works well in era because of scarcity. Retail loot and gold is too plentiful for it to have any real value.
unpopular opinion but the best thing blizz could do to deflate RMT isnt necessarily banning GDKPs, but refusing to implement profession gold sinks and increasing availability of gear. and scaling existing quest gear beyond parity of BoE blues and purples. it’s not the WoW token.
the difficulty of gnomer for the average neckbearded mouthbreather only makes buying gold more attractive. mommys credit card is 1 pilfer away. plus u are dependant on AH vultures literally living off disability checks (who, mind you, are farming a fake currency whose value to obtain is and always will be less than minimum wage)

I wasn’t saying anything about GDKP participation, only why it works well in Era compared to Retail.
Meh retails dead. Dragonflight is the best expac in 10 years and people arent even playing it. Its sad. Arena is so good in DF too.

My guild doesn’t do GDKPs.
They still work better in Era than they do Retail.
