That logic is a fallacy in multiplayer games. It makes the assumption that other peoples choices have no impact on your own choices. In MMOs the vast majority of your choices do impact other people and that is by design.
You can play PUBG in first person in a normal (non FFP) game. Only if you want to handicap yourself severely. In fact FFP mode exists because people who want to Play first person were basically forced to use 3rd otherwise… The same exact logic applies to LFG addons. If the addon gains to much traction and starts being used by the majority then those who want to form groups the traditional way may be forced to get the addon because people are only using the “easy group” addon to find groups. Taking away the “choice” to play traditionally from those people.
Hell you can look at wow as an example… Think back to cata and try to think of a time you saw people using chat to form groups for 5mans… Then think back to BC and the effect is obvious.
