We’re getting tinker so it should be for everyone
In before the announcement of the new gnome/goblin locked class…
Didn’t all races have Death Knight unlocked with SL? Twelve races already had access to the class, thirteen additional races gained access to the class. That more than doubles the total.
Probably the biggest problem with the most unrealistic/least popular solutions. I cannot speak for everybody, but personally, I’d prefer more in depth content for an expansion rather than something else to add to the pile of classes that are never properly tuned/balanced to meet everybody’s satisfaction. People say Blizzard cannot do it right with what we currently have (read April 15 class tuning thread for recent examples), no need to add another.
I believe all four new classes have gone with the theme of the expansion they were introduced. Evokers were class/race specific because they (I think) were created by a dragon aspect quite a while back in history - and they were introduced with an obviously dragon themed expansion.
I’m one of them.
Please reread what I was responding to. I feel confident sayin Blizzard will not sacrifice a raid tier, nor start a go fund me to create more race class combos.
I also added they may add more over time but sacrificing a raid tier, you must be joking.
Just pick something off the list of classes FF and EQ has that WoW does not.
Samurai, Berserker, Ninja, Cleric, Bard, Knight and Necromancer all sound good.
If we’re stealing from FF can red mage be included?
I never realized how many different mages there are in FF, Why cant we do same with ours? Red, white, black, blue, time…
Besides the obvious that FF would sue…
Wow isn’t nearly flashy enough to properly imitate RDM.
I could get around this. Between priest and paladin being already in the game, cleric could carve a spot out as support role. Have a War spec that’s melee with dps on the lower end but brings some nice cooldowns, like a power infusion (maybe with a forbearance to keep you from stacking it on the same target) or a colassal smash style vulnerability. Another spec could be Community (ripping these names shamelessly from dnd), which could also be support levels of dps but as a ranged light caster with more of a focus on bonus healing or resource generation. The last spec could be literally anything, a tank, healer, or non support dps. Or even another flavor of support!
Biggest problem is I don’t trust the dev team to do the job right based on their current showing in the Worldsoul Saga. Maybe sometime afterwards, when they can take some time to really cook.
We kind of do. Black is the traditional wizard type so like WoW’s mage. White is the nature-y element type with holy stuff so if shaman and priest had an illegitimate child. Blue is the copy magic from enemies mage which is something warlocks have done in WoW lore but not in gameplay. Aug evoker is the green mage of WoW.
The not really playable ones are red and time. Red is the magic and sword ranged/melee combo class that we don’t have anything like in WoW. There were time mages in Legion Suramar, most notably Elisande, but not really playable in any extent.
I love watching folks come for the throat for that clique elitist gamer action only to receive zero backing. Really drives home a point that no one cares about your bs.
Maybe we should all, I dunno, start treating each other like human beings with opinions that are exactly that. Opinions.
No, we’re not, and no, there’s nothing hinting that it will be added in Midnight or TLT over any other choice.
No more new classes. Fix your current ones.
Grandpa, are you okay? Wrath already came out, and yeah Deathknight was the most broken thing that ever graced this game.
Oh yeah we are. In TLT.
Azeroth is covered in titan machinery. What better class than the tinker to help us when the titans return
Looks at Evoker Dracthyr & Nelf/Belf DH by that logic, those were sort of a waste no? Dracthyr can’t even use normal armor.
I was responding to OP, who’s suggesting that we sacrifice a raid tier to get more race/class combos. I feel confident in predicting that won’t happen. We will eventually get more, I would imagine, the addition of races to Warlocks e.g., but I can only imagine the fallout if the next expansion only had two raids so that we can have Dward Demon Hunters.
I can’t imagine it’d be alot, they’ve polled content runners and most do M+ on a much larger scale than raiding and dungeons combined. Dungeons were dead last even after open world, and raiding was only a step up from that, but at the time of the poll M+ was half or more of the poll participants.
Additionally, raids tend to be a fairly one and done thing, most folks only see the inside of one again to get specific mogs/mounts, we wouldn’t be losing too much by not having so many raids that folks will consider engaging for half a patch then ignore for the rest of it.
By that logic, and the numerical data, it would actually be more resourceful to use a raid tier on something the broader audience would actually do: Mythic+ improvements, customizations for all races (something WoW is now severely behind any other RPG in), combinations, etc.
Sounds good, I disagree.
My good forumite, you are disagreeing with 1s and 0s, the numbers don’t lie.
i’d play evoker if 1. the range wasn’t garbage. 2. didnt have to be a dragon for my spells.
did they make it where your ‘human’ forms could use the spells yet in combat?
